I know i’m lucky when i’m not worried about a small thaw we’ve got so much here and the light snow still coming down too, so any small amount melting is unnoticeable at all and creates pretty icicles

You can tell the wind dropped off when the snow fell overnight as it’s managed to settle on surfaces where the wind was just sweeping it off of the night before, a full covering even in the trees now making it look arctic
-
Fell asleep super early last night after my snowy all nighter the night before, just woke up to a completely fresh covering. our 15cm looks like it’s easily surpassed 20cm with a couple more inches overnight!

Even now there’s nothing overhead on radar and the flakes have stopped after 22hrs, we still have a fine graupel falling! not had a dry gap at all since yesterday 4pm
worth noting i haven’t noticed any further accumulation from the light to moderate snow that’s persisted most of the day since first light, it kinda maxed out as daylight arrived even though it was definitely reaching the ground and it’s been below freezing

I am trying to fathom how at the moment my location ends up with close to 20cm of snow by the close of play (Some point on Wednesday). No real sign of anything making it this far with sufficient intensity at the moment.
i also find it hard to believe we could over double our current amount to 40cm here, that’s another 24hr of snow at the rate it is currently
-
When do people think this snow here will stop? been going for nearly 18hrs now so can i expect a few more hours and to cross the 20cm mark in the garden?

inbetween 13cm and 17cm where i’ve measured with 1-2ft drifts from the strong winds overnight. still moderately heavy snow falling too
across our garden that is, maybe only 5-10cm elsewhere along my long walk depending on exposure to the wind too

the snow is impressively heavy still! nice big flakes hammering it down, if it got any heavier it’d be bordering on blizzard conditions

Well I work at a local bodyshop.....really looking forward to all the incompetent drivers making claims later
i wouldn’t be surprised, it’s treacherous out there right now. hope you make it into work safely!

Much in Dereham? Got to attempt to get to work soon
lots from what i can see! i’d say the side street i’m on has a solid 5cm settled on the roads, easily more in my garden. still coming down big fat flakes too
hasn’t stopped at all in over 12hrs and the wind has been blowing it about a considerable amount so hard to tell exactly how much
-
12 hrs of constant light-moderate snowfall now. will update on measurements in a couple hours but definitely looking good

that’s the one that’s hovered over us since about 5pm and given us everything we’ve had so far, very impressive honestly as it started on the radar over my head initially as a small back building shower!

wow! took an hour and a half break thinking our 1-2cm was what it’d max out at and just took a peak out the window and it’s still going with a couple inches easily over everything, looks pretty deep in the drifts by the fence! i can see why the amber was necessary now, these are going to be hellish conditions tomorrow morning

couple cm here now, less in open areas like the roads as the wind is just sweeping and swirling it about and drifting it up to other places. still under a steady stream of activity but going to stop posting here for the night and update in the morning with how we get along.
good luck everyone

Certainly is coming down hard in Norwich at the moment. Roads and pavements are now being covered.
would love to know why the radar is doing such a bad job over Norfolk currently, but nice to hear that Norwich is finally in on the action!
been light snow in Dereham for over an hour now from a stream of showers, can't help but think no matter how much falls now the roads are going to be treacherous now its decided to stick on them!

worth noting that it’s having no real issue settling on pavement here even though it’s rather light, the main problem it’s having is landing without being swept away by the wind! i imagine later on where streamers do set up some drifts could be the bigger issue for some if this wind doesn’t die down

not so much for here, but the wash streamer seems to be setting itself up well now! for here, got a small shower trying to backbuild giving me a dusting but not really any decent flakes yet so not expecting much more yet

Beautiful morning, had several more cm yesterday from snow flurries and a fresh inch or so overnight. surpassed 20cm with ease and it looks stunning with partially blue skies with the sun shining. -2.7c and a snow shower incoming again
