Well got about an inch or so, and I'm in the amber zone! Only about 5" short of predictions. But I guess there is "more to come". Ha ha!!
20 miles north in the amber still and we’ve yet to see any accumulation or anything at all til one minute ago, as i started replying to you we had a little burst of flakes!

not sure what you call it, grainy particle light snow stuff falling and collecting up agains the fence, our first drifts no my really settling elsewhere yet as it’s quite light and there’s no real flakes

I'm hoping for just enough to blow into the B1146 so I can't get to work near Dereham from Fakenham
Drifting was a big issue in 2018 when i lived in west norfolk, so i imagine any snow at all could cause some issues on the country lanes if it arrives

I'm in an Amber area but seen nothing yet? I guess my time will be later in mid to North Norfolk
glad i’m not the only one here that’s in the new part of the amber warning, can’t see what made them extend it earlier but we’ll see!

I take that back, snow so fine and light it could be dust, barely noticeable in the wind

Updated my snow depth map for England and Wales, valid until 12z on Monday (8th Feb). I've used a blend of high resolution models and radar trends. Delay to the transition to snow in SE and E Anglia this morning, and adjustment further east of Storm Darcy. But the heavier snow band seems to be slowly edging N and NW, particularly across E Anglia, for now.
i’m on the border of your 5-10cm and 10-15cm area, do you know something i don’t? might even be inside your 10+ area hard to tell, but i’m only expecting 2-3cm from flurries later maybe
-
Keep in mind once it’s started setting, in blizzard/whiteout conditions it can and will accumulate fast! i think it’s too early to call this a bust, if you’re in that amber warning keep your eyes peeled
-
Good luck to those in the firing line today, enjoy it whilst you can and stay safe if you’re expecting to have to travel!
I imagine my chance of snow will be showers from later today onwards so i’ll be lurking for snow photos from here for now so be sure to share your wintry pics with the rest of us!

Unfortunately latest guidance isn’t great for most of Norfolk now, I think at most will be snow flurries... we need to rely on the showers Monday Tuesday for our chance...Those talking about a Red Warning, I’d be surprised if one was issued...never happened back in 2018 in EA
It was all looking so good for us here a few days ago too, that’s what makes it feel worse now!
Happy for those further south who are nailed on a covering but if we don’t get much here i’m getting back into bed to hide for a week and pretend this all never happened

can’t help but think snowfall-wise that this is going to be a huge bust for my location! too far north on most of the models and forecast i've found. ice days and deep frost probably, but snow is what i’ve been looking for and i’d be gutted if out of such a great setup for england i only get a cm or two
-
What’s the current situation looking like for here in mid norfolk, i feel like i’m too far north now for Sunday and then too far south and north for the shower and streamer activity that could be happening Monday onwards!
really hope i’m wrong, but i think it’ll be a push to get anything significant here now
-
looks now like i could now be north of what’s to come Sunday? going to be a long sleepless period tomorrow evening onwards
-
Metoffice showing snow from 9pm Saturday constant til Monday afternoon when it shows occasional snow showers til Tuesday with daytime maxima 0c for a couple days too
A younger member here so i haven’t had maybe big events in my life, I wasn’t into meteorology and didn’t care for snow in 2010 when it happened so not many memories of snow except brief dustings until 2018 which has been my only clear memory of an easterly for me.
This winter has already been a good one for me, so the next week will probably take it to my top place in rankings since i started following models and showing more interesting in 2012

Not sure i can see a “beast” coming at the weekend but a short cold snap is more then likely. not expecting blizzards or historic cold, i may have ruined our chances by mentioning the synoptics to a friend two days ago!

Not sure how long it’s been going for as i wasn’t expecting it, but currently sleeting, almost full snow about half hour ago but it’s light now. bit of slush, happy the temps are on the rise otherwise it’d be lethal in the morning!
-
still small patches of snow in shady spots from friday night/sat morning as sundays event was too far south for here
been icy and felt very wintry again the past few days, ive forgotten what warm weathers like it’s been quite chilly this winter for here!

Absolutely nothing here in Attleborough and I’m 12 miles away, someone on here posted that Norfolk do tend to miss out on lots of snow, always are best chances is a very cold direct northerly wind , with beefy heavy snow showers , been absolutely years since that has happened. Many times here would have about 6” snow then head down A11 get other side of Thetford nothing .
not sure if we will get much if any tomorrowIt did seem to be very localised again last night! I have family in Spalding, Kings Lynn and Thetford, none of them saw any snow overnight.. it does feel like Dereham area has been the sweet spot of the region a couple times this month, not just last night but there was the last snowfall that gave us a couple inches whilst places not too far away barely managed a cm.
I think we have a small chance of some wintry/snow showers later but i’m in agreement about little chance tomorrow now as we’re a tad far north
