  1. The cold pool over Europe is both cooling and expanding...potential?
  2. Is that Kelly Brook I see cavorting naked just outside my window?
  3. Precisely NWS; and, here's one I prepared earlier, which was also cold and blocked and with things not being in the best possible places, for an instant Snowmageddon... IMO, the future's so white, I've gotta wear shades:
  4. I brought it forward, Blue! Hang on? By the time it reached Cornwall, we'd be on day 17!
  5. Talking of detail (not much use at this range, I know) that LP, just to the NW of The Azores might be preparing to run the length of the English Channel; this wouldn't be totally out of the question, as yesterday's 18Z suggested something similar...It would also tie-in with the Met's idea of possibly unsettled weather affecting the South and Southwest?
  6. End of the run not so spectacular as yesterday's pub run. That said the cold does come in much earlier, at Day 10! Still, with all that cold air around and a meridional-type flow (and the jet a long way south) the only way seems to be cold? Get the cold in first. Build it, they will come!
  7. Totally amazing, IC. I keeping wanting to pinch myself: am I really seeing a stonking northerly being driven-on my a 1068mb Greenland anticyclone? Oh the joys of meridional flow!
  8. What about that wodge of WAA, to the west of Greenland? Good for a northerly blast, over here?
  9. I spy with my little eye (if I squint!)...a kink in the isobars. Snow for the SE?
  10. Should the HPs remain where they look like being, or thereabouts, continental Europe could be one giant cold pool, come mid-December?
  11. Some of the recent runs remind me a little of this, though the evolution, to an Atlantic-Greenland ridge (should one develop) is clearly somewhat different. As Herman's Hermits might say: we're into something good...?
  12. Can we have less of the 'front loaded' nonsense, please? This winter is destined to be a four-month-long winter wonderland!
  13. Not on the epic scale of the 18Z (how could it be?) but something akin to 2010 is looking ever more likely:
  14. Here's the 00Z T384 chart, for comparison...Is that a 'spoiler low' just off SE Greenland? Of course it isn't!
  15. And Fred's 'snow by month's end' prediction will just about come true too...Just!
  16. What a piece de resistance? Icing on the cake? Grand finale? Everything coming together in perfect harmony? Ivory and ivory? Whiteout at the OK Corale? Ten-foot snowdrifts in November! I feel like I'm 6 again!
