Just got home from school, can't really be bothered to read through all the pages that have spawned since this morning, however, I do notice that those storms in the Channel seem to be heading my way!!

Know Netweather isn't the most reliable, but just gone from 65% chance to 0% for Weds...

Hmm.
Possibly some distant flashes off to the west at 23z but certainly not a direct hit...

Gonna be busy in this thread tomorrow - I look forward to that, the build up is fun!
Me too!
Seen conflicting reports for storms here tomorrow, been placed under a Met O yellow warning, but some other sources are saying nothing for here. Only time will tell...
-
Wednesday storm risk just reduced from 85% to 62%. Must say I'm not feeling it for this potential, and can see it being too far west, but still a couple of days out yet...

Wind just came up from nowhere and looks like a moderate shower is about to pass, but no sign of any storms. Bust.

Very heavy brief shower here...Sun back out now...no thunder...
Just reached me!
Heaviest rain for a while, but no thunder here either
-
Convective clouds now all around, most threateningly so to the West, but still nothing, not even rain!
Edit: Actually, small shower just popped up over Ockendon way, hopefully that develops into something more
-
Very dark now to the North and also very oppressive. Conditions are right, but in the wrong place!
-
Lot of convection building around here too, but nothing that looks particularly threatening (yet!). Let's see what the rest of the afternoon brings, however I refuse to get my hope up

Rather a slow start to the day here, but a lot going on in Northern France...

Dark convective clouds on the horizon off to the NW but they don't seem to be doing anything

Is that anaprop in the Channel off the coast of New Romney?

Is it worth watching developments in N France?
Possibly. Just been outside and it does feel pretty humid out there...

Certainly some convection taking place now, got dark to the W and SW very quickly

The storm near hull will I be able to see flashes in Bridlington from it .?
As long as your view in that direction is unobstructed I'd say so

Even the same down here on the coast. Gone really still and humid.
Same out here. If the storm that passed through 'W Essex earlier had been a few miles further South East I'd have taken a direct hit but alas another sleepless night lies ahead

Yeah I think that's my lot for the day too. A day that promised so much delivered only 4 distant rumbles, but it's better than nothing. Not too upset though because we have been lucky so far this year in these parts, and it's still only early July.

Do you think they will move north or do you think it will hold its southerly direction
It's moving NNW I think, but it also seems to be weakening on radar
-
Couple of slightly closer rumbles heard, but nothing for a few minutes
-
Just heard distant thunder here...
-
Surely I didn't just hear a distant rumble?!
Edit: No, it was a plane

Anyone else noticed that hook shaped area on the back of the main storm near the Channel Islands?
