I've had a yellow warning placed on my area for Thursday and Friday...

Was some convection around this morning but then it clouded up and it's stayed dry and mostly overcast all day. Bust.

43% chance of storms here too. Let's see what tomorrow brings...

It's felt like February all day here today to be totally honest, cool overcast, and the odd spit of rain although the cooler weather is very welcome after last week!

Been raining heavily for several hours now, but suspect that's all it will be.

Just a standard wet evening in store down here, nothing of any interest
Inclined to agree I must say, though not entirely ruling out a cloud fart or two a bit later

Heavy rain just started out of nowhere

I think the radar may have gone wrong...

I'm just west of the main line of storms but getting pelted with sudden downpours of rain and hearing constant rumbles on and off. Definitely the most interesting day of the year so far for me! Looking great for this afternoon.... fingers crossed. As Nick said the set up isn't great for anything too severe (according to the charts) but certainly looking good for some decent thunder and lightning... and flooding rain
Could you possibly put your location in your profile please Matt?

Been dry and overcast here all day so far. Must say it doesn't feel stormy at all, but we shall see

Although its usually a good sign for future storms, it does't always mean that your area will get the storms unfortunately.
I know that, but it's always nice to see

Skies have been looking promisingly unstable all day today. Plenty of Ac cas around.

Woah, HUGE flash on the Havr camera a second ago!

Are those awesome photos above of the same storm that formed over Yorkshire yesterday? If so, WOW!

Naughtily on my phone at lunchtime so I can give you all an update. Had a nice storm here from about 10:45 until about 11:30 which bought with it some nice bright CGs and some lovely deep booming thunder as well as some absolutely torrential downpours. Still feeling pretty humid although the temperature is much lower than previous days. That's now 8 days of thunder in just over a month, more than the whole of 2016!
Have a good, stormy afternoon everyone

Time for me to go now. Won't be able to give any updates when I'm at school, but 10AM looks like it could be interesting. Good luck, everyone, hope as many of us see a storm as possible
Also, sferics west of Kettering

I've got my eye on that shower near Salisbury. Multiple sites have said that after they form, storms will move NE into the SE corner of the country and East Anglia, which would put it in a good place for me later on. It might just fizzle out, but at the same time, it might intensify and give me a flash or rumble or two later on. All to play for yet.

Liking that last Convective Weather forecast. Mind you, Netweather showing 0% chance for tomorrow, Met Office showing 30% chance of light showers with a yellow warning at 10:00am tomorrow (was showing 50% chance of storms earlier for that time) and the standard weather app on my iPhone showing a 40% chance of storms at 10:00am and then 30% from 11:00am - 12:00pm.
We'll have to wait and see

Just took a quick casual glance out the window, skies looking pretty unstable here too. Little bit of cumulus off to the SW but shouldn't think it will come to anything tonight. All eyes on mid/late tomorrow morning for here...

Now one lot's gone bang I think we'll start to see initiation elsewhere. Stay tuned.

I would say so

If I were up North I wouldn't rule anything out just yet. If/when something forms over the Irish Sea, that's going to have monumental CAPE to tap into over the UK. Good things come to those who wait
