Just looked outside and there's a massive grey anvil looming over me!
Although my nearest precipitation is all the way over NE London, certainly looking promising

That'll be the storm out over NW Essex/SE Herts. I'd probably be able to see that from here if it wasn't for the haze
Looking in that direction that haze has darkened slightly, but sadly it will pass to my North. Distant rumble for me at absolute best I'd say.
Not too upset though, have already had 8 days of thunder since May 19th!

My iPhone app saying 30% chance from 18:00 then 40% from 19:00
Might well be right
Also starting to get a bit of a headache, which can mean storms, then again I've had it on and off since Tuesday!

Sun just gone in for the first time today. Rapid cloud development taking place, including a little bit of cumulus and even a very small bit of Kelvin Holmhotz! Suddenly feeling more optimistic.

Must say I'm beginning to wonder now. There was a well defined anvil off to the east a little earlier, but that went off into the distance without doing anything. No convection around now. Not over till it's over but really losing hope now.

Well, the 12:00 storm never came to fruition, and Met O now dropped all mention of storms at 16:00. Skies still looking unstable and humidity ridiculous, so not calling a bust quite yet. IPhone app fancying 60% chance from 17:00-19:00...
We shall see
Hope we all get something this afternoon!

Uneventful morning so far, but it's darkening to the South. Feels pretty ripe, with a nice breeze every now and then
Met O updated and saying 60% chance of thunder at 12:00 and then again at 16:00
I'll give an update at lunchtime in just over 2 hours time...

Starting to see some towers trying to form above the accas which is filling the sky. I reckon in an hour or so we'll have a better idea of what will happen..,

Met Office now showing 40% chance of showers at 10:00
My iPhone weather app is going for a chance of storms (never more than 50%) between 10:00 and 16:00 but Netweather saying 85% chance of storms which is the highest it's ever shown for today (but has also been wrong on multiple occasions)...

Not a lot to speak of right now, although the sky looks the most unstable it has for ages.
It's a loaded gun
Being under an Estofex Level 2 and a Convective Weather MDT, I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't see anything.
Give it a couple of hours I reckon...

Essex Weather Centre (normally pretty reliable) just tweeted that the biggest risk in Essex tomorrow is from 05:00 - 13:00...
Anytime after 07:00 will do me fine, since I hate being woken up early!

Still pretty much crystal clear skies heat, although some ac cas seems to be trying to make its way up from the SW

Most places seem to be pointing at a storm around midday here, which is fine by me, however I am seeing some fluctuation as to the actual time of these storms.
The standard (and rather unreliable!) weather app on my iPhone fancies rain from 8:00am to 14:00 and then storms into the evening, which seems unlikely
I feel like I'll see something, but only time will tell when.
Edit: Looking at Euro 4, I may end up being woken up slightly earlier than I would have hoped!

No flying ants here today thank goodness (hate them!). Looking up, there's been quite a bit of accas and cirrus around today and humidity has been through the roof. Hope we see something tomorrow!
