    Showers building out of no where and I have grauple. Icicles forming on all drips so temp must have fallen. No sign of any melt at the moment

    Sausage intensifying too more red bits appearing and very heavy snow here. Next blob lining up

    The next shower has hit now and this is all snow if this carries on we'll actually have a proper covering.

    absolute blizzard here now everything is white and temp is falling so might stay?

    Wind is howling here and lots of things rattling around outside, but I'm not going to investigate probably the swing hammock taken off again!!

    Unfortunately they got this one right and it’s turning back to rain here

    Looking at the radar the front edge is stalling over me the the back end is moving and the front edge is pretty stationary and it’s heavy here

    Absolute blizzard outside covering everything I didn’t expect this at all only drew the curtains because it seemed rather bright outside for 0715 and there it was. I’m sure it won’t stay but a lovely surprise!

    weather station showing 0c but only the tops are covered.. We had a sleety shower about 1 hour ago that must have fallen as snow up there we are 1000ft and they are between 1200 and 1400 ft.

    Shame this isn’t proper snow just single flakes and grains falling but we have a pretty dusting and more to come looking at the radar

    Been snowing here for hours but I’m just too low for it to settle plenty about 100ft higher up. Weather station and car showing 0oc

    Thanks for the picture, I was driving into Bury from Bacup and this was infront of me and I had no chance to photograph it, I was hoping someone would as its such a perfect Anvil.

    There seems to have been some thaw which has then frozen so everywhere is covered in ice which is treacherous under foot, snow still quite thick on the grass.

    Very heavy snow now and settling well

    Missed the thunder but just took the dogs out and its settling on the grass.

    Met office showing heavy snow in Bacup tomorrow when before it was sleet or light snow. As usual its a wait and see situation and as I'm working tomorrow it will probably happen, on the days that I can enjoy the snow nothing happens!!
