    Proper snow falling here now and just starting to settle just. Hopefully the temp will drop now!

    Rain here definitely turning splatty with the odd flake mixed in. Tops slightly higher are already white so just need a bit more cold air and we’re off!!

    Just took the dogs out. One turned around and went back in!! We have no shelter in the field from an easterly and it’s a blizzard out there. Horizontal snow in a strong wind. I can’t tell you how deep the snow is because it’s drifting but there’s more than previous falls this winter! We have got our “pasting” but shame it won’t stay.

    Very small flakes flying around in the howling wind!!

    I think it’s because we are so exposed. It always feels like the French Mistral. No gusts just a constant blow which howls through every gap. I hate going outside in this weather!!

    I know that feeling I got shingles after Christmas which apparently can be linked to silent Covid and spent two weeks in bed. Watching snow helps a bit!

    The bbc forecast showed snow not rain for the Pennines so fingers crossed

    Snowing well in Bacup and topping up what fell over night

    We’ve just been hit in Bacup by the big blob on the radar which started with big flakes then grapple and now back to snow ! sorry for the end where I dropped the phone!! IMG_4621.MOV

    Thick snow still lying on grass but being bombarded by rain , sleet then back to snow. What a shame.

    Just been out in the car and it’s showing -2oC already everything frozen solid. If it rains on this cold ground it will be lethal

    After a day sitting in Bury watching snow fall but not settle I came home to this and it’s now freezing hard and will be treacherous later

    I believe you just took the dogs out and thought I was imagining it. Not much falling here but looking at the radar there are showers around!

    I know the feeling I got diagnosed with Shingles after Christmas so other than time outside with the dogs twice a day I’ve just been lying in bed watching it snow.
