Very slippery out there after snowfall last night and then a heavy frost. Fog is clearing now so hopefully sun will come through and melt the ice.

Just been out with the dog and it’s horrendous. Ice turned to water snow turned to slush and drifts now swallow you!! sky very dark out to the west but nothing major on the radar. Off to play on the Flying Scotsman this morning - chew chew

Just started here. To be honest don’t need any more until this lot has gone. Too much ice which is treacherous underfoot and still massive snow drifts in the garden!!

Managed to get through the drifts to feed the animals in the stables. Dog sank in the snow - only has short legs but drifts over my boots.

No idea how much but the view from my back door is pretty impressive. House is buried in the hillside so surrounding land is higher so lots of drifting.

Temp must have dropped as starting to settle now on the car.

Heaviest snow of the day and temps dropping. Hopefully it will start to settle properly again now.

Just been out with the dog on the tops. Snow starting to drift across the fields already as it’s so dry. Slow increase in flake size.

After a small pause it’s started again. We have settled snow and the temp is minus 1

We seem to be in a good spot for once with showers lining up. It’s Sod’s Law as my 4x4 is poorly so we’ll probably have loads and I’ll be stuck!!

Just popped out with the dog. Not cold as no wind but no sign of melting.

Just started to snow in Bacup. Got woken by the milkman who has decided to do his delivery up here early. Who delivers milk at 0130. !!

I know it’s computer generated but the BBC forecast is showing snow in Bacup for Monday 12th. It may happen as being so high and that cold we should get something !!
