Soft large hail then trying to snow!!

Flying into Manchester this evening was interesting. Lots of hefty showers made it bumpy. Then to top it all it was hail and snow when I got home.

I’m currently in the South of France and it’s been peeing down all day. They need it but I’d be fed up if we had thick snow at home if I’m away .

Yes that was quite an impressive line of hail showers quite a covering on the cars!!

Getting heavier again now and flakes bigger following a lull. Radar a bit lumpy so not sure where it’s heading!

Just been out with the dogs and on the west side of the hill it’s already very gusty. Won’t be up there later or I’ll land up in Hull!!

My goodness it’s like the middle of the night here. Very heavy hail turning everything white! And temperature down to 3oC And there goes the thunder!!

Still sitting at Zero and heavy snow continues to fall and settle. It’s very windy so rather blizzard like. Looking at the radar we are in the heavy bit now!

Snowing now and getting heavier!

Just walked the dogs. At 1000ft I can confirm the ground is frozen solid. There is black ice everywhere. The snow that fell earlier this week is still there and has been added to by spectacular frost on everything. The wind is getting up and I’m frozen!! Clouds incoming from the west and it looks snowy. Let’s hope for a few flakes!
