    UK not as good as GFS , though met office still keen in keeping cold to North and East of UK, must be seeing something we can't?

    This now looks like a blink and you will miss it cold few days and looking milder going forward based the current output , but we will see

    It's just typical winter weather that we have to endure , nothing exiting at all , at the moment even up here you will have to climb up a fairly high hill to see any snow Xmas day

    By how much have they improved since last computer upgrade ?

    With their supercomputers we don't seem to be very much forward in forecasting, this has been a poor show by all the models this time , any reason why they have struggled so bad ?

    Let's be honest when was the last time the models got it right 5 days or more in advance never mind the long term models .What happened to the high pressure that was forecast over us for a few weeks not that long ago now looks like high pressure over Europe after Xmas with temps well above normal

    Heard similar on UK forecast, remember forecasters in 60's and 70,s saying it will be a mild winters day at 8C (46F in old money)

    Great photos , not been great start to season here in Scotland, and snow we have willbe melting rapidly in next few days

    Yep not great at all and a disaster up here for the Scottish Ski resorts , no skiing in December at all , wonder if that is a first

    Fingers crossed mate, as a lot of posters have said in the past if it can go wrong it usually does for us
