    To me it sounds like the mild won’t win out and will be pushed away. Staying cold throughout the further north you go. I think it’s a decent update but I’m in Yorkshire so we will stay cold. Might be frustrating for those in the south although there could well be a significant snow event

    I’m staying away from the mod thread for now. ECM seems like it’s gone off on a crazy one and I don’t think it’s got this right. It may well have but it just looks really strange to me.

    Could be a tough watch in the mod thread later. Unfortunately with there being a large proportion of southerners, it has got very IMBY. Still looking good for us, but that’s hard to tell if you read the mod thread. Understandable really as they’ve had even less snow than us, and we haven’t had loads recently

    Before the ECM comes out I think it’s best to try and keep our feet on the ground. Having scanned the GEFS at 240 I was only able to cherry pick ONE chart. Here it is

    I Didn’t expect a jump today. I would say start of next week. That’s if and it’s a big IF, the coming runs over the weekend continue the strong blocking signal or improve on it

    But only yesterday the UKMO was labelled as performing very poor recently. Let’s just hope the ECM goes the same way as I’d have more confidence. But yes a very nice run

    Quite a few GEFS now starting to show some very nice charts. (Don’t they always). However I’m looking forward to the 12z’s to see if we can see some upgrades. Not heard much about the JMA recently. (I’ve heard the met hold it in high regard)!!!!!!
