I think there will big news from Europe next week in the epic freeze that is seeing sub double digets in many parts. Lots of snow due too. Many people will suffer too . perhaps we should be thankful that we are getting mild stuff as we are the only ones

Just saw Fance 24 TV, amazing sub zero temps by day and night for Paris and Lyon with snow too. And for a momrnt I thought we were nearer to the Med. !!

Ho dear, just seen the latest projections for the next 10 days. Hampshire has no sub zero temps even at night. Just across the channel , Paris, Madrid due to get sub zero by day with snow due in France.

What sort of job could a weather forecaster do if there was no need for them?

It would seem that the deep freeze going to France and Spain. BBC weather confirm rain on Thursday. No mention of snow apart from Scotland. Just across the channel predictions suggest sub zero temps by day.

Is the met office on its own because apart from rain on Thursday, hardly any mention of cold days ahead in the South.

The other network are saying mild by the weekend with winter easterlies going north and south of UK

Sorry guys but I have just seen the BBC 10 day forecast. Europe continue in freezer but we get a dip in temps then back to the usual mild cloudy stuff... This does not match what the model forum are saying. Someone must be right?

Watching Aljazeera News, there are pictures of snow in vast areas of Europe including Italy, Greece, Turkey, France, Germany, Poland to mention just a few. Many people have died due to severe cold in Europe. fountains in Rome are frozen. One media source says that Britain has missed the cold and snow, for its usual gray cloudy skies and warm temperatures. There seems to be snow pics everywhere on Facebook from Europe to middle east, Asia, USA. Here in Hampshire day 28 . No wind, cloud, cool, fog. Today we have a change to rain, cool, cloud, fog.

Exactly. Why people put themselves through it . it would be easier to get a day trip to Europe. You could play in the snow all day then fly back to the warm, all in a day

Water levels are really low for January. Southern Water main Resovoir just around 53 %. Praying for a wet spring or Summer washout.... Though really i dont need to pray for that.
