Midlands Ice Age gives detailed impartial posts on a regular basis which I look forward to reading. If I want to get “political”, which I don’t, I also know where to find those threads.

    A different take on current cloudy windless conditions. Some of the best films and dramas I have ever watched have been in these weather conditions. I think they can be very atmospheric. Consider it as nature is providing you with a backdrop, now go and create your own action.

    I’m going to hazard a guess that Cold Winter Night is/ was once, in the teaching profession. Such an excellent explanatory post with just the right amount of words used, and not for the first time.

    If we can’t have seasonal snow, frost and ice then what we are having now is about as good as it gets. I have been able to clear up all the winter detritus and fix fences etc caused by the storms and incessant rain in December. Out from 1000hrs yesterday until dusk - 1645 hrs in this part of the world at this time of year. A dry settled week will do no one any harm.
