  1. I’ve hesitated to predict broken revords but if my locale records 32 on Monday then I think the SE will smash 38.7.
  2. Dangerously hot in France again on that. Very pleasant 22 in my location. Much prefer that.
  3. All the best MIA to you and your wife. Take care. I am also in favour of keeping things as they are as regards the Sea Ice freeze/ melt threads. Midlands Ice Age gives detailed impartial posts on a regular basis which I look forward to reading. If I want to get “political”, which I don’t, I also know where to find those threads.
  4. Not interested in cold outbreaks at this time of year. It’s just wrong. High pressure all the way to the end of September for me
  5. We now have a complete covering. Going to tricky commute home after this night shift
  6. No they’re lucky getting to live in such a beautiful place!
  7. A different take on current cloudy windless conditions. Some of the best films and dramas I have ever watched have been in these weather conditions. I think they can be very atmospheric. Consider it as nature is providing you with a backdrop, now go and create your own action.
  8. That’s what qualifies as a ramp these days so the original post is accurate
  9. I’m going to hazard a guess that Cold Winter Night is/ was once, in the teaching profession. Such an excellent explanatory post with just the right amount of words used, and not for the first time.
  10. If we can’t have seasonal snow, frost and ice then what we are having now is about as good as it gets. I have been able to clear up all the winter detritus and fix fences etc caused by the storms and incessant rain in December. Out from 1000hrs yesterday until dusk - 1645 hrs in this part of the world at this time of year. A dry settled week will do no one any harm.
  11. This week looks thrilling even in Northwest I know it’s an app but it’ll probably be right
  12. All roads lead to rain. That’s the despondency. There can hardly have been a windier road than the one we’ve just been on but yeah - rain!
  13. I wonder if the exceptional mild will verify in the New Year. What with all the shortwaves and last minute adjustments it’ll probably be “stolen” from us at the last moment.
