  1. So great to see so many happy members online. The first time in ages that we have had a relatively surprising snowfall, rather than the usual hope from a week out, only to see chances diminish to nothing as the time nears. Woohoo!
  2. The snow is beginning to get a wee bit heavier, with a light covering now in W11, with the pivot looking good.
  3. Hi all, long time no post, but snow is in the air! The pivot looks like the perfect spot to give the capital a covering, a lovely evening of radar watching ahead. Good luck all and enjoy!
  4. Same here. A bit of a sleety mix right now, but more snowy in a heavier burst a couple of minutes ago. Happy to have seen some flakes falling though.
  5. Well at least some people in our region have seen some decent falling snow today, some luckier peeps have even got a covering. For us that didn't... it's only November and things look to be on the chillier side this winter, so plenty of time yet!
  6. The North Sea is still relatively warm, it is still November, so a Northerly does EA no good at this time of year unfortunately.
  7. Unfortunately it does look that way. I was hoping some of the energy from the showers coming in through The Wash might help amplify the ppn, but no sign of that as yet.
  8. By the look of the traffic England jamcam's, it seems to be starting to settle around Northampton and just North of Oxford: Welcome to Traffic England WWW.TRAFFICENGLAND.COM Traffic England
  9. It does seem to be building ever so slightly on the Eastern edge of the ppn, a case of radar watching for the next few runs. Best of luck to those further East, but those to the West of London might well see a covering.
  10. Good luck with your move. Aberdeenshire is an interesting place... It gets snow in winter, but also gets remarkably high temperatures compared to the rest of the UK at times due to the Fohn effect, so you can be sunbathing in April and digging through snow three days later. A glorious place to live!
  11. Had a few bresks in the cloud, but it has now clouded over again and gentle snow has started. slightly positive signs, but it's not bubbling with convection yet.
  12. There certainly seems to be some convection in the estuaries, with a bit more energy coming in off the N. Sea, but I am intrigued by the slightly odd radar returns on the last few runs in the S. Essex area. Is it anaprop, or is the Maldon estuary beginning to produce?
  13. The last couple of radar runs seem to show a fair amount of convection building offshore to the East, anaprop/light ppn also building over London... It all bodes well for streamers to form through all the East facing estuaries. It could be a very interesting night ahead. h)Hopefully any streamers amanage to make inroads inland. We should get some ideas of convection soon(ish).
  14. I should also mention the possibility of a Maldon streamer (through the often overlooked Maldon Estuary in Essex) as a possibility for those Londoner's on the North side of the Thames if the wind does shift slightly to an ENE'ly. It has produced in the past.
