Baltic Regions

Last time I bought oil was June (cos some bu***r stole oil from the house). Might need to get some more soon but not happy about buying a fill up based on the theft. Anyone had this happen? Its got a real popular pass time amoung the scum of our country. Oh! I would also punt for last week in November / First week of December for the wintry whiteness! 2012/13 will be what it will be. Gut instincts seem to be what we should be following. If its another cold one then that will firm in my mind that we may now be in a cycle of colder winters. Lets sit back and enjoy the bumpy, prozac filled ride!!!!

Slight frost at 07.30 this morning when I went out to continue my fight against the chicken mites. Brother in law was up earlier and had to take kettle to his windscreen!!!! Battening down for the next few days!

Its been hitting on and off all day. Started as sleet with us and then some fairly hefty hail showers. But we now have snow. Not lying and I dont expect an awful lot but im just delighted to see a bit of snow again. Good luck folks!

Definitely post of the winter! I did the same at the weekend but used the chicken manure and wood shavings from the coop! makes great manure and seems to keep the cats away (wee bu**ers)! Spring is still just round the corner as the hens have started laying again. But that means we are still in winter! :winky:

My wee girl is wild keen on seeing this boy Jack Frost who has taken to painting our garden and house white at night. Would have loved to spent the day out digging. some very thick patches of fog about today! Looking forward to next weekend now and glad for whatever it brings!

You bought and planted those trees from lidle at the same time i did. They will be messed up for the first year. i have one with flowers clinging to it but dont expect a thing from it. my rhubarb is sprouting though. spring is damned close!

Congrats Watcher, lovely xmas present! My sister told me of a weather almanac that says we are to experience temperatures never seen with us in January 2012. Keeping an open (but still slightly dubious) mind on this. Wild windy the past day or so. On the plus side there is a lot of trifle and only one man for the job!
