    So another Autumn/Winter with above average temps and more storms than you can count looks to be on the cards.

    The emerging trend doesn't bode well for the winter if this september follows recent years. That damn continent needs to cool down soon. No signs of it though.

    There you go with your fan calibrated to mimic a wind tunnel... Seriously though, as I've said before; I envy anyone who can sleep comfortably in conditions like that. I certainly can't.

    There is a difference between warm and pleasant and warm and unpleasant. I'll give you a hint: it starts with hum and ends in idity. Have you seen the overnight temps the GFS is propagating? Would be 19c+ easily. Not pleasant at all.

    If you mean the GEFS ensembles, they're all on the weatheroutlook's site. Just click on the GEFS move down to the bottom of the page where the graphs are and then click your town (if its there).

    Just once this summer I would like the models to show the development of high pressure *without* heat. I am firmly of the mind that we cannot have HP without it. I would LOVE to be proven wrong.

    Today's GFS runs are once again leading the rampers up the garden path. Charts like what the 12z is showing are why I dread the thought of any high pressure this time of year. HP=humidity and uncomfortable temps usually sourced from an unwelcome direction. This season cannot end soon enough.

    Well in my experience, if we get storms, its usually mild. If we get cold, there's usually no storms.

    Hell isn't far from the mark. People are DYING in europe. Anybody who pines for conditions like that isn't right in head. They should just lock themselves in a turkish bath.

    I have known people who go to EGYPT in the summer. 50c in the sodding shade one year. Absolutely mad.

    Could be here too if the ensembles are hinting at what I think they are. Something very nasty could be on the horizon.

    If the GEFS's ensembles from the last 3-4 runs are on to something, then "fresh" isn't the word I'll be using lol. A few are toying with what looks to my untrained eye like a spanish plume type scenario. 28 days until the end of meteorological summer, and it can't come soon enough. Once the equinox is reached we *should* be home and dry.

    I'm not sure. Several Control runs on the GFS show a spike around the 14/15th which worryingly coincides with something the ECM clusters were toying with the other day. All I know is we cannot have settled weather without heat in this country during the summer. Its either settled and too warm or pouring down with comfortable temps. I know which I'd choose.

    There's unsettling signs of a warm up on the cards. How long and how bad it'll get I don't know. This season and all to do with it cannot end soon enough.
