  1. That was the year I had to hike for the shopping on foot because lo and behold; the transport network was crippled with knee-deep snow. Won't want to do that again! 6-10c in the winter is ideal; cold but just warm enough to melt ice. A lot of old people are uneasy on it with walking sticks etc.
  2. To each their own. Personally I'm not a fan of either extreme.
  3. Then you have a higher tolerance for heat than I do. Personally 27c days with 18c nights is not pleasant. 22/14 much more like it.
  4. Clearly you didn't read my post. I'm not a fan of rain either, but I'd take it over last week's oppressive muck any day of the week.
  5. I know what a northern jet stream can do this time of year. I can happily stay where it is.
  6. I won't be. If we can't have HP without heat, it can rain all it wants.
  7. Latest model runs filling me with dread again. Why can't we get sunshine with comfortable temps? Its why I despise summer. In the spring/autumn/winter you can have high pressure without heat. Not so in the summer it seems; we have to have rain in order to keep the temps under control. Roll on Autumn. Only 64 days to go. Almost 1/3 down.
  8. I'm seeing the same thing. They're all slowly coming out of the woodwork. Why can't we have dry, sunny weather with average temperatures? Its either sunny and hot or cool and wet. Personally I'd like sunny and cool. Roll on autumn where I can actually get it.
  9. Nobody. Since the ECM doesn't show temperature values like the GFS and GEM does, then the ill-informed could easily misconstrue what was being said. Maybe post simpler, clearer information. Not pointing to you personally, its more of a generalisation.
  10. I think conditions and temps shown on those charts would suit everyone. Even me; dry and sunny but COMFORTABLE. Provided the GFS isn't undercooking and therefore I'd need to see 19c or so to create around 22c. No more heat, please. It can be dry, sunny and comfortable all it wants, just no heat!
  11. It was still 26c or so here. I would have gladly traded temps with you. low 20s at best? Lucky sod.
  12. Sucks for you. Solstice tomorrow and the countdown to winter begins! Shorter days, longer and darker nights and weaker sun; the cold lover's holy trinity
  13. No doubt as much as I like to see some of you whining about the rain. Early June was peachy for that.
  14. Knocker referenced that chart a bit earlier. People call me and others miserable because we can't tolerate the heat as well as they can. I will happily take temps around 21/22c over rain any day week. You can't say thats unpleasant. People only seem happy with extremes.
  15. Miserable is very subjective. I'm just sick and tired of feeling dizzy and uncomfortable. None of that crap with cooler weather.
  16. The 1st post was in response to a chart. And where was the chart for the comment my 2nd post was directed to, hmm?
  17. I'll remember that when the winter comes and most of you heat lovers have gone into hibernation.
  18. 17 is warm. Just shows how differently we feel the temperature. anything below 10c is chilly for me. Only 73 days to Autumn now.
