  1. No weather stations give a reliable reading for skem. Must be knocking on for 23 though.
  2. Had my fill already. All I've done these last 2 days is sneeze. My head's banging and my already pathetic tolerance for heat is at breaking point. I take my hat off to the southerners on here. If i lived down there, I would have topped myself long ago. Its not far off 30c now.
  3. Who was the one joining my concern for the elderly back in Feb? You seem to forget that extremes that the other end of the spectrum have the same effect. Same with animals.
  4. An thats something to look forward to? today was nice, but once the iberian humidity arrives, it'll be hell if the GFS verifies.
  5. Sounds like heaven. If canada didn't have such hot summers, I'd have moved there long ago
  6. Might want to look through the GEFS. Not a single member gets anywhere near that.
  7. I'm perfectly sane. You have to realise that we all feel the temperatures differently. I've seen people in winter coats in 28c heatwaves. Likewise I've seen people in t shirts and shorts in 3c Once winter is over, even the slightest sniff of high pressure sends the temps soaring thanks to humid crap from europe. IF we could get sunny days, with average temps, then I'd welcome them. Nothing against sunshine, but can't stand above average temps. I feel warm at 12c, very warm at 18c uncomfortable at 22c and physically sick at 25c or above. Be thankful you have a body that tolerates warmth, because I wish I did.
  8. Well if the ECM is right, 20/21 will be the peak (going from weather.us at least) and I can cope with that. The GFS is trying for mid 20s though and factoring in the likely humidity that will be in the air (when isn't iberian air humid?) then its feel uncomfortable to me.
  9. Might very well be the case, but I don't live in the SE. My posted temps were for my neck of the woods.
  10. "mild"?! Have I died and woken up in the south of france? People on here seem to forget that spring in the UK is 12-16C. Even the peak july average for the NW at least is 19c.Next week's charts are summer weather, not spring. And they can't disappear soon enough. If we have to endure sunless, rainy days to keep the temps where they should be, then its the lesser of two evils imo.
  11. I just resent it fullstop. Get an iberian flow laced with humidity and you can kiss goodbye to any semblance of comfort. The only time we can get high pressure in the UK without the temps soaring is in the winter months.
  12. Humidity is guaranteed when we get muck from Iberia. As I've said before, a pleasant summer in the UK is impossible. By "pleasant" I mean dry, sunny and *average*. The thought of 28/16 days again is turning my stomach already.
  13. wouldn't give you the satisfaction. Also, the netweather GEFS 12z for lancashire doesn't show a sniff of a 20.
  14. can't even see the ignore button lol. Its going to be a long 6 months
  15. pair of rampers. only the other day Frosty was posting warm charts talking about it being better than unseasonable cold. problem is, he was ramping those cold charts only a few days before... Plus, ignore won't work if I don't sign in first.
  16. only one of them. when you have 3 different charts from the same run, whose to say which one is right? guess old brian best stop posting model outputs then, eh?
  17. Based purely off of the LTA temps (long term average), the UK doesn't get springs. early spring is a winter continuation, then we deal with muck from europe bringing temps which are considered "normal" for mid july.
  18. Meteociel also disagrees. netweather doesn't show the entire suite. cherrypick all you want.
