  1. No snow here, after the heavy snow predicted by the beeb, I think they should come round with a snow machine and cover the area, No ice either after the ice warning. Enjoy the snow if you're getting any
  2. WTF! Have the beeb gone completely bonkers with there prediction for tomorrow morning? Ive got heavy snow showers forecast, that cant be right surely? And a warning for Ice. I can believe the ice part, but heavy snow???
  3. Wasnt expecting it to be so windy this morning, windier now than saturday when all the warnings were out. Least the ice has now gone away, now back to the fine drizzle in the breeze.
  4. Oh yeah, Mr mad cocker spaniel is off, dragging us along behind him, he doesnt give a monkeys about anything, the nose is down and hes following the smells doing his usual impression of a steam train, meanwhile Im wondering how long it takes to recover from hip replacement surgery Love snow and frosty mornings, but icy paths is not fun, we've still got places in the shade that have black ice even past midday. Temp now risen to a balmy 5c.
  5. Treacherous on footpaths this morning, after the rain, temps low enough for icy pavements and still showers coming down the east coast. Suffice to say not a long dog walk in the dark this morning, Im not the steadiest on my feet on slippery paths, but my rough collie is like bambi on ice, slight hint of slipping and he refuses to move, whereas the spaniel motors onwards, so I have one pulling one way and other pulling backwards.
  6. Its absolutely chucking it down, with rain, here, that lot with the snow is waaaaay too far west for us in the east of EA, whats coming down the north sea is ALL rain
  7. Keep the faith Pete, temps have dropped 2c to 2c over the last hour, maybe some more miniscule flakes in the next few passing showers
  8. Looks like another day of showers pouring down from the north along the east coast areas, bored of this now, if it was non stop snow showers, now that would be great, but its just cold chuffing rain currently 4c,
  9. Nothing much to say this morning, 3c and rain looks to be incoming from the north sea, winds less than they've been the last few days, certainly warrant being outside the warning areas so far.
  10. I was in west midlands in 2009, always more snow that way than here. Plus my old brain doesnt remember much back than a few years ago lol
  11. More than happy not to be in the red warning area, in fact, have we ever had a red warning in EA? The yellow doesnt quite reach here either, but I imagine the wind will be quite blustery still. Currently 7c and in a lull of the rain showers, which will no doubt be back later on, seems quite a soggy night in store.
  12. After a cloudy start, its been quite sunny so far today, temp 7 but that NW wind has a bite to it, not looking forward to the wind/rain fest this weekend, tomorrow onwards looks rubbish and I doubt we will see any flakes in the mess this weekend.
  13. Frosty grass, car windscreens icy and in need of de-frosting, was a nice sunrise appearing before the cloud covered it. 2c currently, I believe winter is almost here
  14. Getting chillier each day now, but thankfully blue skies and sun this morning, but only 4c currently, no frost this morning again but at least the paths had dried out enough with yesterdays sunshine so not slippery this morning
  15. Had a rogue shower pass through around 8am, but now sunny skies and temp 10c. Dont know what the temp went down to last night, but a few paths were a touch icy and slippery this morning in places after the showers yesterday, but no frost.
  16. Those showers keep on coming down the east coast, nothing white in them yet here, just cold rain, temp 9c, definitely feeling more chilly today, had to resort to some heating during the day, so far managed to keep it to a minimum this autumn, but think its time to give in unfortunately and crank the bills up.
  17. Started out chilly but blue skies, looked at radar to see a line of showers incoming from the north, so blue skies wont be lasting long, 6c currently.
