  1. Just heard a second rumble of thunder in Reading, it's not near here though, out to the north/north east.
  2. Anyone can confirm lightning on the south coast off Brighton and towards Canterbury?
  3. Yes sorry I meant for the country as a whole rather than Reading, think we will miss out and just get rain instead today.
  4. Lightning map seems to be suggesting that we will get something today.
  5. Just had a smallest cell in Reading, about 5 flashes around the same time, over as quickly as it started. Hail too. Moving along the M4 towards London.
  6. i just saw two flashes in the sky, in disbelief I went straight to lightning map and presume that was from the cell in the channel right now.
  7. I can hear Thunder, it's a few miles too south to see it, cloud is moving very fast around it though, nice concentration of very dark skies, light cloud and even patches of blue around it.
  8. I'm looking out from my garden and I can very onimous clouds with towers and tops. If I'm not mistaken those could be thundery at some point.
  9. The sun is back out here, it's cooler or at least less humid, improving chances of seeing this blood moon tonight maybe.
  10. The volume of lightning strikes between Spalding and Kings Lynn where the storms seem to merge looks so filled on the lightning map.
  11. That wave from France seems to be gaining strength nicely over the channel.
  12. The Weather forecasts have been pretty accurate so far on first impressions.
  13. I see my old gaff at UEL, got some very close lightning strikes recorded if accurate!
  14. Interesting shape to the cloud over East Anglia, feeding off the North Sea/to the east and keeping the storm strong?
  15. Also has the storm over Norfolk essentially split into three, one shooting up along the coast, one moving west into the wash and the other essentially staying put or barely moving.
  16. Must be interested to be in Peterborough or March right now, there seems to be activity in most directions around them at once from different cells, some moving faster than others, some gaining momentum and others calming down.
  17. had some decent rumbles to the west, south and east, not managed to see any lightning from here though.
  18. just had a very loud rumble of thunder, doesn't seem to be picked up on the lightning map either.
  19. Things are starting to change, lost all blue skies, now the haze has gone, its getting a pretty solid cloud cover now, though still very light in colour, not menacing at all.
  20. I'm not even annoyed about the lack of activity around these parts as the forecasts got it pretty accurate, cells passed over here but didn't kick off until they were much further north-northeast which looks about right. The only shame is that it's still really hot and sticky here already, wouldn't mind some relief from that.
  21. lots of precipitation bursts firing up, guess if we are getting activity they all have potential to come to life.
