Nice catch!

Gah, We have a mix of cloud, sun, humidity and 30C here right now. We could do with those Channel storms to clear the air.

Cell has now passed north from Reigate - actually two side by side. Not very electrified - but when they do fire - you know about it. No rain from them, I think that missed us by half a mile or so, It looks like the Channel mass will miss here completely.

Sitting in the oven of our garden and had a nice pile of forked lightning right overhead, and and a good bang! We have a storm over Reigate. a LOT of convection in it, too.

Oh heavens - something coming Reigate way! And in the Channel clouds hitting 8 miles up? Amazing!

Cloud bubbling up around Reigate, and it looks like plenty of destabilisation. 34C in the shade here. Small shower passing us by (what's new?).

Oh - well I for one am quite surprised at the bubbling up of some showers south of the Portsmouth area. I thought we'd be dryer. I will be watching this with interest... There seems to be a lot of disagreement on specific areas in the models and being a complete numpty, my seat of the pants forecasting is not telling me much. But seeing the developments in northern France, the 'whole of the east' corridor seems possible. J'avez un feeling du gut. Kick off the shoes, sit back and relax. That's my strategy for now...

Well, the cell over Reigate limped its way north. I've seen more lightning activity on a Victoria Sponge cake. Looks like the intensity remains (and will remain) westward. I have the patio door wide open, trying to get the temperature down from 26c!

Massive forked lightning across the sky to the west of Brighton on the Brighton webcam. Cool. Otherwise the line of storms is not very active.

We have a small arc heading our way in the South East but it looks fairly tepid compared to the wonders of the west. Some of the webcams are showing great stuff out there! We might get a bit more later.

There are no clouds in that area. Perhaps it is one of Blitzorgung's "mobile sferic markers..."

Thank you for the updated weather forecast from Convective Weather. It's very kind of you to draw a big dotted line around Reigate in the South East. I'm touched by your desire to deliver stormy weather to my lightning-free zone! To be frank I really don't think much will crop up in this area apart from some rain - which is needed anyway for our tumbleweed and cacti.

Thanks for the camera, Ancient Solar! I'm assuming nothing will happen around my area (as usual). 31C in Reigate was our tops in my professional weather station. (Yes, OK, it's clagged on a post outside the garage door... ) Must get some new batteries, too...

Please could you nudge it further east to me here at Reigate? If we can get it close enough to the church then I can get a strike at the back of our garden...

It looks like I'll miss most of the fun tonight. I could drive west and be ready, but the thought of the M25, M3, A303....nope. Just no. Thursday certainly looks like an interesting day.

I rang up Estofex to ask them if they could move the severe zone further east to accommodate Reigate, They didn't answer the 'phone. Hope those in the zone have a good session! Keep us all posted please.

Can someone knock up a good storm over Reigate for me please? Right now? The police helicopter is going round, and round, and round the place and driving me nuts!!!

Gah...slept like a log through torrential rain. Woken only by the occasional rumble of thunder! Hot and very humid here, towers going up and plenty of forcing potential with hot sun on wet ground! Whatever grows will whizz by as the breeze is quite firm.
