  1. I agree 100 per cent with GP. Looking at the current evidence it's VERY clear it's becoming less easterly, previous years mean ABSOLUTELY nothing. It Is very clear it's becoming less westerley. As much of a cold ramper I am, science tells me this yeR will be a lot milder. End of Less easterly I mean!
  2. If all you have in your life is to wish for a bigger eruption and for peoples lifes to be affected I. E people die and for peoples lifestyles to be inconvenienced then you should be ashamed of yourself. Your a disgrace. Your not a scienticst
  3. lol im so glad i live in the east of the country, even in winter we usually get the best of the action
  4. Organisms live inside our ice caps now and also inside volcanoes and at extreme pressures deep in the ocean, as posted above life evolves to live in any condition so the chances of some form of life on mars are very high
  5. My cousin had one crawl into her ear a couple of years ago. She thought she had Tinitus but it turned out to be a very big house spider! She had to have it removed in the hospital and her ear cleaned out! Every single one of us will have had one on our faces at least once a year while we sleep, they're attracted to our bodies warmth
  6. Thank god! All I did was ask someone to back up there comment with science like the previous postee. Not personal really? Just challenging science of a winter forecast which is healthy as it drives the quality of forecasting on the site It's got way too personal and childish My challenge to that statement is prove the cycle even exists?
  7. Yeah it was a good animation mate, just giving my opinion that I thought things were getting a bit confusing that's all
  8. That would all be relevant if I was "having a go" Let's not turn a perfectly rationale statement that I feel BFTP doesn't back enough up with evidence for me to respect what's been said with childish comments. No one should be untouchable in regards to constructive critisicsm I agree it's not whether someone is right or wrong though is it. GP has an idea backs the idea up with evidence and then waits for results. That is respectable science don't you agree?
  9. I completely agree, doesn't change the fact that by everyone posting at the same time it's made it more complicated That'sy opinion and if you read back you will see others have the same opinion as me. Also the psychology of him not telling other people to post is 100% correct. It's the same philosophy as when someone asks you if you mind them going with you somewhere and you just say yes because to say no would sound rude and make you feel uncomfortable Good comment though It is a free forum but again doesn't mean that certain behaviours wouldn't be for the better regardless of free speech
  10. I have never seen bftp back up anything he says with science, links, charts etc. I don't think he actually understands the science of it and has built up a reputation by telling people what they want to hear and remembering key terminology from googel articles. I could be wring bftp bit now is the chance to show us all your not all talk and you can back things up with science?? Well see, if you don't your reputation will take a hit
  11. He's not going to say no one else can post charts is he? Lol No one would say that as that would sound big headed and arrogant. What will be will be but for me this topic has been spoilt by any old Tom dick n Harry (including yourself) posting charts. It's too complicated
  12. No disrecpect lynxus but I don't think I'm alone here in thinking just cyclonic should do the updates as it gets a bit confusing It is his baby and he does a better job of it if I'm honest. Again no offence intended just think it better for the forum if you take a back seat
  13. Lol this has been an unusual met year so ya never know!
  14. BFTP is the closest extent. The lowest recorded was 4.33 million on the 9th of september
  15. The destruction of planet earths thermostat, ain't no stopping the snowballing warming I'd say within 10 years
  16. Yeah the science doesn't lie, very worrying, we need a plan as a world
  17. I couldn't agree more there's nothing more frustrating than when this thread goes off on a tangent
  18. That pretty much sums up what I'm saying, there is no debate on global warming. It was and is a proven science. We shouldn't even be debating whether it exists are not. It does. Fact. It should be what can we do to lessen the impact. The arctic ice thread fits i'n with this as the downward spiral is there i'n bare figures for all to see [quote name=noiv' timestamp='1312121884' post='2112341] > I think you need to spend more time reading the science and less time shouting the odds at other people. The only proven fact in all of this is that CO2 is a GHG. Everything else is still open to debate, that debate is still being had by all the climate scientists. Jethro, I hesitate to ask about your source of news, it appears disconnected. Is it latest edition? The national academies of Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, UK, US, etc. closed in 2005 the debate [pdf] and proposed to prepare for the consequences. In 2009 a online survey among +3000 scientists, listed in the 2007 edition of the American Geological Institute's Directory of Geoscience Departments, found near-unanimous agreement by climatologists, however some petroleum geologists and meteorologists disagreed by ~50% with human involvement [CNN]. Some weeks ago the Australian scientific community stated: The overwhelming scientific evidence tells us that human greenhouse gas emissions are resulting in climate changes that cannot be explained by natural causes. Climate change is real, we are causing it, and it is happening right now. But there is progress: You've confessed CO2 is a greenhouse gas, would you also agree on burning fossil fuel releases CO2? And the amount of human CO2 is rising? And GHGs heat the atmosphere? Or are you saying there is still a debate over why 30 gigatonnes of anthropogenic CO2 per year do nothing? Plot: Arctic sea ice area still comparable to 2007
  19. Time will tell (: [quote name=4wd' timestamp='1312099810' post='2112244] Blimey, it must be worse than we thought. I would have thought he might be sworn to kill anyone who accidentally spread this secret information?
  20. No disrespect but My father works for the government looking into alternative ways if producing energy and has worked with some of the best scientists i'n the world, believe me if youve seen some of the findings you would know it's proven. Things are actually a lot worse than the Joe bloggs public know as to not cause panic but it's safe to say within 20 years we will all be feeling the affects. Half of the issue i'n not releasing this information is scientists with limited knowledge on the subject don't allow for really important changes to be implemented due to their ego driven refusal to admit agw is real and has been proven by the best guys i'n the business. Think back to this conversation i'n 20 years and realise the damage all this arguing is causing..
  21. Lol 90 per cent? Agw is scientifically proven. FACT. What do you not understand about that? The fact the best scientists i'n the world agree with this against yourself who has nowhere near the understanding tells us all we need to know! It's like saying a baker knows more about brain surgery than a brain surgeon. Drop the argument, there isn't one to be had CC!
  22. No disrespect but I've seen you on other websites and your forecasts are full of fantasy and headline grabbing, you just chuck out a load ofeteorigical terms to try to sound like you know your talking about
