A closer look at the 850s on the UKMO -11 .

OMG was watching the icon at 3:15 had then do some work . Look back in 110.new posts = forum meltdown . Come on brilliant set of 12z in the short term and longer term can’t control myself

Honestly this forum is doing my nut in . I could understand if the outlook was poor but it’s not , far from it . ECM Mean - yes this a mean with a mean ridge into Greenland it’s stonking . GEFS - lots of runs going towards -15 850s with a great mean like the ECM . Also we have the Met onboard , that is very important. All in all a fantastic outlook .

UKMO is the best at 120 with the block further west and colder uppers .

Evening, been extremely busy at work yesterday and today . Been watching the last 48hrs of runs and they’ve been brilliant. Them means are superb for so far out . Been a few cracking op runs too . Full steam ahead cho cho . UKMO 850s -10s fairly widpread in England Not sure why some are downbeat this is are best chance at a notable cold spell in Jan for well seems like forever

It’s an absolute peach. It’s still going . I’d give my left leg for that to happen

The mean is rubbish now on the GEFS . It’s all gone titts up again . If we cast are minds back to the end of November it was looking great going into December and within a few days (bang ) there went December. Now looking towards Xmas the signs etc were good (bang ) that all disappeared. Towards new year and January all looking good . Ssw was odds on up to 80%+ chance on the ECM (bang) goes that one . And now this colder spell is looking well not even a cold spell , just drier with a few frosts . It’s depressing and extremely frustrating. Maybe the end of Jan or feb will deliver but i dont hold much hope . The only plus is the meto are still onboard but knowing are luck that’ll be gone in the next few days . ps By the way I’m not just basing this on the gfs and GEFS . Across all modeling this has downgraded this colder spell . ECM ENS and GEFS mean below
