Hope the models get that one sorted out soon! Will need to know whether to buy a sledge or a canoe to stock up on supplies

Clod sounds about right to sum up this winter so far lol

!!! Would never have guessed how's it looking this morning?
Past T+120 very tasty to my untrained eye, uppers below -5 and low pressure hovering around, still waiting for the run to complete on meteociel

In that case it looks OK to me. Going to need some verification on that however lol
Did you get much snow in Southend Jack? Had a good downpour in Pitsea earlier, started to settle and there's still a bit left on the cars, this morning could be treacherous! Hopefully more to come over the next few days but not looked yet

afternoon essex lol
Afternoon Any cold drizzle there today? It's overcast, cold and damp here, with continuous drizzle, no ice in it this time!
-
I had some nice icy drizzle last night for all of 5 minutes

Maybe every netweather member should buy a dodgy old freezer so we can all meet up somewhere and empty the snow each year there's a mild winter lol
-
Already got a bit of snow here, in the freezer anyway! Needs defrosting lol

Well would you believe it, they are actually having a new years eve BBQ a couple of doors down with fireworks, 11c around here!
Happy New years everyone, lets hope we get to see a flake before the Spring, days getting longer now, time ticking for winter...
You don't live down the road from @lassie23 do you?

Await the heavier stuff out to the west later
and the milder uppers than are slowly being dragged along with it

Nothing here yet, not sure what to expect at only 133ft, but had a shower of ice pellets at one point yesterday, at least it wasn't cold rain!
In a mad rush clearing out an old shed this morning with a roof that is about to collapse, not sure what I'm wishing for, heavy rain and the floor will get soaked today, any heavy lying snowfall later on in the season and the whole roof will be on the floor

Has anyone got the temps/dew temps on that channel runner when it hits? I.e. would it be all snow from the South Coast up? I know it won't happen that way but it would be nice to dream (until the 12z!)
I haven't got NW Extra at the minute so maybe someone with it can dig out the DP's

The only thing I knew this morning was the fact it was clear and wasn't going to rain for at time it would take me to walk bubs to school. Dam you chesty cough, you make me feel rough.
Can't believe it's december tomorrow. The house is a mess. The delivery driver with cat supplies has been the next stop and 15mins away for over an hour.
Is it really december tomorrow.
Did the cat supplies eventually arrive?

Extremely misty also in Benfleet, about 10 feet of visibility down the a13, not so bad in pitsea, likely mist rolling in off of the north sea?

Had it on for the last few nights, set to 19c, must of been a cold night here because the boilers conked out again, house is currently 15.8c but I can't start the boiler up until everyone's up as it's loud and takes about 15 attempts to kick into life! Will need to get it serviced before it gets too cold if this winter is anything like last year, back then it went off around 30 times overall and the house got down to 7.9c which was not fun waking up to at all!! The boiler temp itself in the loft was reading just 3c and condensation pipes almost to the point up to the bottom of the boiler were frozen solid, had to heat them up with a heat gun each morning to melt the ice down the pipe before starting the boiler up.
-
Its still 3.8c here lol
-
Dull day here, quite cold, constant cloud cover and not even any rain/sleet, fizzles out before it reaches me, more chance of rain in my area overnight/sunday morning time last I checked!
-
Lovely clear sky here too SB, 18/19c and the sun is still strong enough to keep some nice warmth in the air, great that its not windy too. I expect this to be the last day we will see these kinds of conditions, temperature wise anyway, brilliant day for late october!

So a northerly is looking likely next week, so expect sun and temps of 8 c
19c here today! Perfect that temperatures slowly coming down to what they should be at this time of year, as long as gales and rain don't coincide with it
