Bone dry and bitter shower clouds been shredded as they pass over ,theme of the week to come .

I'll swap you, I'm outside with the workmate sawing wood for a bath frame surround, it's below freezing, windy and snowing on and off, I keep getting looks as if I've just come out of a mental asylum :cc_confused:

What a crap cold spell so far, the hype had us believe an eighties style record breaker was on the cards, instead we end up with a limp squib and all the rampers will look totally daft too, (:oops:john hammond), it's pretty much finished by Saturday, don't believe the hype because it usually ends up as tripe:good:

Cor blimey, it's not even started yet! You will get some just wait a while, in the mean time go and cuddle tiddles she is probably freezing her buttocks off poor thing! :sorry:

    Morning all,

Couldn't sleep any longer, just had to come down and have a quick peek, at the early model runs.

That UKMO chart at t144, is a peach of a chart!! If that came to fruition, would expect some really beefy, snow showers, about our region.

     Modele UKMO - Carte prévisions

    Modele UKMO - Carte prévisions

-12c upper air temps, entering our region, coming into contact with the southern N.Sea/Thames Estuary temps, at around +7c, should be a snow maker. Please be right ,Met Office, we'll have to wait a few more days, before we can start to get really excited, though! As they often say, "more runs needed"

    Regards,

    Tom. :hi:

    They are -14c not -12c :cold: :cold-emoji:

Has anyone who have the new BBC weather app notice how rubbish it is . The new company they get their weather data from is completely useless up to 3 days always wrong temperatures for Norwich been nowhere near correct. Even now for weeks time they are going for 8c hello not even a sniff of cold temps for the next 14 days. However the Met Office app go for 3c from Thursday onwards !

Noticed it too with the week ahead forecast, apparently it's going to turn "much colder" all the way down to 7c for the south east :cold: :cold: :cold: :cold:

Hate how they always quote city temps and barely ever state rural areas, 7c maybe for central london but elsewhere will struggle to see 3 or 4, still it is a few days away yet, maybe they will get their act together

Serious question, I am meant to be going from Great Yarmouth to Norwich then to Doncaster by train on 2nd March and coming back two days later, am I likely to get there in the first place, and if i do, am i likely to get stranded up there?:cold::cold:

No way to tell this far out, it's 12 days away, even the captains crystal ball isn't that good!  It'll likely be cold, nobody knows how cold, but best to view the charts 1 or 2 days before to see any potential snowfall
