Nice. The BBC local radio for Surrey and Sussex said, at 6pm today ... sleet possible on Thurs. Yet the local BBC TV forecast showed temps about 11C on Thurs and Fri. Bonkers...
Well I'm sure if it snowed in London at 10c it can easily sleet at 11c

Time to look forward to some storms then
Butt head looks like he seemed to enjoy the cold spells anyway!

I think they're each trying to claim it as their own

Major improvements in Jaywick then
Jaywick would be have to be totally destroyed a few thousand times before there can be that amount of damage done

I am sure the 13 deaths and 6.5 billion in damage was a bit depressing

I don't know about THIS summer per se (though I suspect wetter than average) but I would wager that over the next 10-15 years we'll see the 'perfect storm' scenario where we get a cold winter, cold spring, cool summer and then into autumn. I believe it's referred to as a 'year with no summer'.
Well that just sounds depressing

Well I've finally caught up with this thread! Started reading on and off at 5pm yesterday at around page 60 and it's taken me over 9 hours to catch up, I must be mad
It's been a good read apart from a few bits of bickering, glad to see some are getting what they want after a slow start. Expected quite a bit due to the amber warnings but was a little disappointed like others, had a heavy band at 7/8am yesterday morning which gave a covering of a few CM away from the pavements and roads, and it's snowed light but consistent throughout the day, slowly covering footpaths, not expecting too much overnight here now on the east coast looking at the radar but Subnday looks promising again!
Question from page 132 which was never answered so I'll give it my best shot!
8 hours ago, stubbys said:Why on the radar v7 or extra app, whenever I click Europe, the resolution goes really blocky and pixelated?
I think the NW radar has always been like this, it has since I've been viewing it for the last 5 or so years. I think the UK view is directly from the Met office and the euro view is either from another provider or just simply a lower resolution, it's not an issue just the way the radar is set up.
I'll be off for a nap shortly ready for fun and games throughout Sunday, so for everyone doing an all nighter, I hope you get what you're looking for! If not don't pull your hair out, there's still further chances down the road, (even if you have to drive to them)

Another fast developing cell in eastern london now approaching west ham / stratford, maybe produce a boom
-
A tiny sharp cell has popped up over eastern canvey, I can see it here in the sky and it's pretty much stalled, giving a dumping of rain and intensifying at the minute still. Lets hope it moves as canvey is prone to localised flooding

Has the Met Office ever had 9 weather warnings out at once before?

Loving the latest 10 day forecast
Monday / Wednesday
40% chance of no rainfall, giving me a 60% chance of staying dry, and a 100% chance of nothing falling from the sky?!
