okay the weather will do what it will do but the weather gods have let us dwn. i feel so feflated its untrue. i have waited n waited n nothing. fed up of the charys promising so much just to let us dwn. the excitement n adrenaline rush that snowy potential gives us is too much when it lets us dwn to take!! dont think i will get as excited or positive again for next winter niw because we just seem to have such mild consistant winters now that its a waste of time. there are many pros on here tht have egg on there face im afraid after hyping this ssw up and the bbc forecasters too have dun themselves no favours but never accept that there wrong.

what a joke all this ssw has been. the models just refuse to give us any belting cold weather with much snow. winter running out fast now. feel totally deflated!! gosh folks must have been lucky in the past to see such big snow events! i really thought this was going to be something special!!

according to the gfs. snowed in but not hearing anything else from anywhere else...

bbc said signif snow for northetn england scotland but i guess that auto rules us out.

i cant believe how unlucky we are!! we just cant get any decent snowy prolonged spell can we!! shows than an ssw is also no good for us most of the time. i think were back to chasing shadows n countdwn to next winter yet again. so so frustrating n disapointing. n to add, you can see when things arent and dont look good when stevey murr goes quiet too!! oh dear

EXACTLY they shud not put these warnings out with no issue! its just unproffesional and wrong! mkes me angry. if a kid saw that or older people n less experienced weather fanatics thy wud expect to see snow in the morning!!

is anyone else starting to worry about this coming to nothing or is it just me? the models are just not cutting it for me. 10 days plus i cannot get excited anymore about regardless of a ssw from previous experiences. the meto might look ace but theyd rather mild weather so wud never apolagise for flipping their forecasts to mild!! on another note why are we gettong rain from systems rather than snow like france. surely the stupid nose of the azores wud also pump milder air ahead of it across france too. the models look full of sbow potential but never materalises! this weeks cold spell that we all foolishly got excited about has produced nothing decent in terms of snow or that cold whatso ever!!

18z gfs has 3 big snow events over us within 144hrs however all change no doubt by morning. again boring in here.

steve n co you need a warm north sea to create convection! in march 13 we had -12/13 uppers did bothinh but a few snow flurries because it wasnt nov dec jan etc. there were so many posts about this inc your own steve about how we need very cold ups n a warmer nortg sea to create convection in an easterly!!!!

gosh this model output is draining. going to be march at this rate. easterlies dont wrk in march due to north sea temps. i remember that from march 13. Just cant get excited about anything. all this met office talk of systems running into uk producing snow. erm im not seeing this at all!! this week really was over ramped probably also why steve murrs gone so quiet!!come on models for once give us something amazing, not good, something mouth watering. a few days of easterly prolonged heavy natiomwide snow showers will do!!

the problem here is that the front arrived at the wrong time. morning or night wud have goven a good dusting but not at midday x

it normally gets to about north wales yorkshire thoigh as the pennines dry it out before fading right?!
