    It is a good spot, and always has been. Best in a easterly. I think at a guess it is the way it is nestled in the hills. Did very well the other March when we couldn’t drive out of the village. Usually better then Macclesfield just down the road.

    It’s snow here, flakes mixed in with flakes! No idea what the temp is or the dew point!

    Southern extent of this streamer but pleased to see that what’s falling is snow here, very light though and intermittent

    We’ve had a few flakes of snow in the wind this afternoon, nothing too much. Just under 5” of snow last night at the top of the village think we were in a good spot. still white over but slowly thawing .

    So looks like a bit of height is needed for the snowfall now. Still snow here and no thaw at 170m.

    Yes I think the change to snow has probably saved me from flooding it’s still pretty close.

    Interesting how it’s turning to snow from the west apart from in Buxton where it slowly spreading west from there

    Sleet and ice pellets now. Will be rain before long. Icy layer on my skylight running off.

    Yeah had falling snow at 170m didn’t settle, anywhere lower this far south and west didn’t stand a chance.

    I wouldn’t be surprised to get some wet snow from tomorrow morning. If I don’t I may walk out of the village to get a bit higher.

    think the next bit of steamer will just miss here to the south but can’t complain

    Remarkable snowfall, 3 inches in minutes. think I’m in a sweet spot here
