We needed this amber warning after the dreadful conditions last time when the met office only gave a yellow with the excuse that snow amounts could be quite localised.

That was fun whilst it lasted! About two inches in very short time and a lot more in the hills where it snowed in the night. Melting fast now.

I went to school in Knutsford and they often had snow when I hadn’t in Alderley Edge where I lived.

Travelling through the country by train today. Am amazed how little snow there is across Cheshire. Seems like a line west of Wilmslow is green!
