Cheshire East Highways starting to report a number of roads closed in the area now due to heavy snow. Looking like a snow day tomorrow!

I think a few more of these showers will make it over along with the coldest uppers but maybe I am wishful thinking

Quite like it to give me a glancing blow here! I’m just a little too south. If it hits Wilmslow that could be enough to stop my gardening job there tomorrow morning as these showers seem pretty ferocious the last one gave q good couple of inches very quickly and caused chaos!

Yes not quite sure why people thought that the sun at this time of year wouldn’t melt snow! The snow melt will be less tomorrow ok the colder uppers and at altitude of course.

Seems to be a lot of showers showing for Wednesday now. We shall see. Been looking at the other regions. I’ll never again say people are miserable on here. The other regions are much worse.

Yes they do. Met office warnings overide the bbc meteo forecast and have to be shown.

Do you have no interest in weather other than snow in your backyard?! I understand the frustration but I can’t resist seeing weather reports from anywhere even if they do make me envious.

I just saw a snowflake in Crewe. It is a bad cold spell.

Interesting looking front with an occlusion at one end and cold front at the other. Originally on the fax charts above all this was an upper warm front between the air masses showing not sure if that is still there

It’s quite interesting travelling up the country seeing the different banks of cloud and sun etc. Bloody cold waiting on the platform this morning though!
