    No posts in the MAD thread for over 7 hours now. I thought it’d be busier given the more warmer and settled weather coming up?

    It’s seems the West, South West and South seem to have been most affected by rain this week. Further north it hasn’t actually been too bad. Sunshine and showers. Though it looks like we are now starting to see rain approach from the south.

    Another day of pleasant sunshine mixed in with clouds. Where’s all this rain we were forecast this week got to? It’s been mostly dry here so far this week.

    Will it really feel that warm on Saturday though with widely 40+mph gusts and cloud? I don’t think it’ll feel a pleasant kind of warm, but more of a muggy type.

    I was expecting it to be a lot worse this week. Today has been mostly dry with just a few showers in the morning. The rest of the week looks to be the same in regards to showers. I’m not seeing any washout or longer spells of rain?

    Got to love last minute downgrades. Both BBC and Met Office have changed from dry and sunny intervals to low cloud and intermittent drizzle/light rain for my location for tomorrow.

    Looks like we’ve got a rare spell of sunny, warm and settled weather for the majority. Tomorrow also looks dry albeit with more cloud around. Then next week normal service resumes with the Atlantic onslaught.

    What happened to the drier and warmer outlook a few were predicting at the end of March and into the start of April? Now it seems it’s the continuation of unsettled weather for the foreseeable. What went wrong?

    Crazy differences between the South Coast and further north tomorrow - cloudy and 11 degrees on the South Coast vs 16 degrees and sunny spells in the Midlands. I’ve had the window opened at night for the past few weeks and definitely don’t need the heating on during the day.

    What a wonderfully sunny day today has been after this mornings’ wash out.

    Wet and drizzly here in Leicester. Lots of puddles everywhere and fields are looking soggy again. That dry week we’ve just had has had any effects pretty much reversed over the past 24 hours. Constant light rain and drizzle. If it isn’t doing that, then it’s overcast skies from dawn till dusk.

    I wonder why this is more livelier than Storm Isha for some of us, despite lower forecast wind gusts? The frequency of the gusts as well as their intensity seem to be more active. Is there any relation to the warmer temperatures and wind speed?

    Gusts are really strong here in Leicester. Seems to have picked up out of nowhere after a relatively quiet day. Definitely sounds more wild out there compared to the previous storm.

    What are the chances the yellow warning will be extended further south or will it just be a regular blustery day for us?

    Things have seemed to calm down considerably here now. No strong gusts or anything, just a steady breeze?

    Must admit it is getting a bit overwhelming with all the plane reports. I’d much rather have local reports from on the ground, personally.

    Gusts are really starting to pick up here in Leicester

    Just had a massive gust of wind here in Leicester which threw quite a lot of debris around in the air, as well as damaging a greenhouse roof.

    I have a feeling further Amber weather warnings will be issued out by the Met Office in the next 24 hours or so…

    First time I’ve seen BBC Breaking News reporting a named storm. Could this be more serious than we initially thought?

    Normally we’d be expecting for the models to downgrade the wind gusts as we get closer to the event, however they’ve been constantly pushing higher wind gusts and aren’t backing down. Amber wind warning incoming?

    Just something to take into consideration - when posting charts, can people please save the full size image first (usually just have to long hold on the image and press save) instead of taking a screenshot of the entire page, with the actual chart being really small and hard to see. Zooming in on this forum is a bit iffy and causes the page the glitch. Thanks.

    Can’t help but think looking at the models beyond the mild spell, trying to find any hope of further cold/snowy weather is just setting yourself up for further disappointment.
