  1. Seems to be snowing moderately now here in Leicester. Not sure how long it’ll keep its intensity up for though.
  2. Well the heaviest of the precipitation has now passed to the east which produced all but a few minutes of light snow. Just lighter stuff to following by looking at the radar. Absolutely nothing falling out the sky and the ground is drying up pretty rapidly so I presume we’ll end up with quite a severe frost by the morning. Yet another bust it seems.
  3. Edit: Starting to snow here now albeit light in nature. Sky has a slight pink tinge to it.
  4. Full rain event here in Leicester despite being under heavy snow according to the radar. Not even the slightest hint of anything wintery.
  5. Is Thursday’s snow potential looking bigger/better than tomorrow’s for the Midlands? BBC weather currently showing snow right from Thursday morning all the way through to Friday night. Subject to change many times of course before we get to then.
  6. Looks like it fizzled out by the time it got here. Back to normal with it being relatively mild compared to recent days tomorrow. Looking at the forecast it looks like Monday is looking to be the next chance of seeing anything wintery, though it looks cold and dry at the minute.
  7. Looks like that precipitation over the NW will be a direct hit for Leicester. Fingers crossed.
  8. Is there any chance of further wintery showers today or is it just a purely cold and dry day?
  9. Looks like it’s game over for any of us in the East Mids unless the winds suddenly change allowing the precipitation to head in a E/NE’ly direction.
  10. I fear most of us in the east of the region will miss out as it is heading too much in a SE direction.
  11. Is it me or is that streamer building/getting bigger on its northern edge?
  12. Looks like we’re a bit too far East as everything has been skirting past us to the West all day but hopefully that will change as the night progresses. That band of precipitation coming up from the SW may actually go over us giving a few surprises.
  13. Friday night looks interesting and could surprise quite a lot of us when we wake up on Saturday morning.
  14. Is much disruption likely? Heading from Birmingham to Glasgow Saturday morning by train.
  15. Great live cam here: http://www.ebmcdn.net/webcast/flash/bogue-inlet/live-iframe.html
  16. How far north is this band of precipitation expected to go? Any chance of us seeing anything in the East Mids?
  17. What’s the chances of us in Central East Midlands seeing something today or are we too far West?
  18. As usual all precipitation fizzles out by the time it reaches here. Desperately need some rain.
  19. Which direction is this precipitation heading in, if at all?
  20. Think it’s a bust for anything today here in Leicester.
  21. When is this band of rain supposed to be moving north/north west? Still no closer here.
  22. I think it'll be at least a few hours until we see anything here in the Midlands. Seems to have not really travelled West but heading SW down the country.
  23. Heading a bit too much in a South Westerly direction for my liking. I fear the main band will miss the Midlands. Would prefer if it was East to West.
  24. Which direction is this precipitation heading in? Will it make it to the Midlands?
