  1. Paul darn it.. is there any debug we can run? I really want to help on this
  2. Paul ah. A clean sheet makes sense edited my last post re: images, as i am trying to also work out if i can spot any differences my end
  3. Paul sadly not. Identical problems. Is there anything relating to uploaded images in a post? It does seem that when a set of posts load, the image/s are the 1st thing that try to load and have an issue and knock the rest of the posts out to the point the screen shot shows what I see. A long shot but...
  4. Paul yes I was looking forward to having my regular looking screen/theme back as well. Its certainly a strange one. Cache was the only thing I could think of but it's that weird "overlap of tiles" (if you get my meaning) as i scroll that I just can't fathom. Refreshing the page makes the overlap (the only way I can describe it...) usually makes it worse. It's almost as if it's loading the theme as a new layer or a 2nd .css and gets stuck. Obviously I'm clutching at straws there but trying to describe how my screen looks is difficult lol Phone is samsung galaxy a22 5g I do add that checking the default theme again, it really is just posts themselves that are the issue. Generally, the actual threads are readable. Clicking on any thread itself that contains posts (model output discussion for example) is where it goes weird. Notifications section, pm section etc reads normally and I can scroll without issue, and that itself is odd because a PM has a post layout as I'd guess? So why a thread itself is any different confuses me
  5. Paul it has to be my side then as it is still the same on anything other than the simple theme . Strange, but i can view here at least!
  6. Paul whatever the cause, it's nice to be able to read the forum and threads once again. Thanks Paul for the help and advice. Hopefully, like you say - once the theme update happens it will resolve any niggles like this experience! I shall keep everything crossed for a successful rollout for you and the team. Please do. I'll happily "beta test" my issue and the outcome Thanks again!
  7. Paul cleared the cache on my phone and restarted after. Was the 1st thing I did the moment I saw the "chaos" on my screen lol. Thank you for the app info, installed and on simple theme. Again, looks normal. So it must be something to do with my phone and a caching issue with that particular theme perhaps?
  8. Paul I 1st realised it this afternoon around 1pm. Last night seemed to be OK from what I recall too. Very strange!!! Do you also have the download link to the app please? I wish to try the theme change on there too and see what happens as well but didn't get the popup to download on this theme This is true, and thank you. I began to nearly panic not being able to view netwx
  9. Paul oh I have no doubts in purely my side and yes you would have others saying the same. I agree completely there. changed to the simple theme and (on chrome) it seems as though it is working as it should (will see what happens after I send this.. await the edit!) The main forum page is generally OK. It seems to happen when I enter a topic to read posts Edit: yes page is fine. Looks normal (chrome)
  10. Paul yes. Chrome displays the same as the screenshot after uninstalling the app (typed this reply on chrome) Screenshot via chrome
  11. I am using both the netweather community app (version 1) and chrome (v 14.1.01.1)on my mobile. There are no scripts or add ons on either the app or my chrome browser. Never installed anything such as these either. Paul
  12. Paul uninstall and reinstall didnt help. Cleared cache again and also the same. When i 1st load to the main forum screen everything looks fine. But the moment i scroll, is when i get the weird looking forum. Checked the forum on my default browser (chrome > android), and works perfectly Apart from just use chrome, any further advice? Edit.. chrome is now doing it for some reason.. err?
  13. Paul there are no add ons or anything new. yesterday was normal but today is as per image will attempt a reinstall and update here. Ty in advance
  14. Hello. Please see the attachment for the issue I am having. I have cleared the cache etc but to no avail. This is from the forum app and on a Samsung mobile. This happens on all forum sections.
  15. What an interesting point to raise! Is there a point that we give up, and why. Is there common ground? Model fatigue, let down too much in the winter season etc? Agreed that it has to be a seasonal thing. Cold is fine in winter.. ideally with snow of course but then around this time I'm starting to think of hot sunny days and long daylight hours. I do prefer summer to winter however.
  16. @Methuselah haarp in full effect instead Not really liking this new quote thing but will give it time as it's new. Interesting to see how it does when mad thread gets super busy however
  17. Dont think ive ever seen the meto talk up tornado potential... from sky news channel; Website: A tornado could hit western parts of the UK, the Met Office has said. A "tornado watch" zone was issued for Northern Ireland, as well as parts of Scotland and northern England by the Tornado and Storm Research Organisation this afternoon. It means a "strong tornado" is possible in those regions. Met Office forecaster Marco Petagna said: "There is a potential that we could see the odd isolated tornado largely tied in with the squally cold front mainly in western parts of the UK on Sunday evening. "They can cause some significant damage but often on a very localised scale, they often don't tend to last very long."
  18. Rather looking forward to something of interest with Isha. Doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary locally for a windstorm.. 60, maybe 65mph gusts but shall be nice to lie in bed listening to as I drift off to the land of nod. Strangely soothing the roar of wind. Lets just hope people stay safe so we/I don't feel guilty about liking stuff such as this. Hoping for a speedy recovery for you and you get released soon. Spent 3 to 4 days in hospital in December myself.. not the most fun places I've visited.
  19. *chuckles at reading that completely out of context* bad Vortex! 8th in the table is pretty good for the gills. Can't see them going too far up though sadly. Looking forward to a little warmer this weekend to save on the heating bill admittedly. This windstorm for Sunday (?) makes a change but does make me ponder that it's so difficult to get snow, and even storms but wind and probably rain to come with it is the safest bet there is. Meto suggesting greater than normal likelihood of winds from the east leading to an increased chance, compared to normal, of cold spells. And, as others have said the mad thread are looking for a scandi high too. A glimmer of hope?
  20. We must be desperate if we are torturing ourselves with French model output. I've nothing against the French apart from the fact that in summer, they hog all the storms and stop them from crossing the channel (ironically..). Now they're stealing our snow. For a country that's joked about being good at surrendering, you'd think they'd surrender the snow to make up for the storms.. but no!! *face palm* I failed completely like the idea of cannes though.. kronenberg in particular
  21. Morning all.. netwx 7 day forecast says light snow here this evening. Wasn't expecting that. I'll believe Wednesday when I see it! Looks like quite a cold one though, particularly with the wind chill. Meto also are picking on north Kent for the windchill too. Brrrr! Loving the sods law forecast too @Tom Quintavalle Is there a specific date? I'll pop it in my phone as a reminder to add an extra prayer on the morning for you, and just to follow that date for snow potential the mad thread has suggested a "back loaded winter" with Feb being a good chance too so you may be on to something- even if unintentionally in jest!
  22. Thank you @Tom Quintavalle for that explanation as that has been explained in a way I understand, and has been insightful. I appreciate that! @TN9 it's interesting that you mention Summer and the difficulties for storms. If im able to remember correctly you arent in Lee of any hills which would kill off any storm potential? And going by Tom's explaining of a maritime influence for our region, I would've thought that moist air would assist with storms, would it not?. Unless, ironically - it's considered *too* moist and needs that dry air intrusion, and / or lift that comes from the downs (or the other side of the flipping M4 again!!). All this being based on purely topography and not a cold front assisting the lift and triggering storms (ie, spanish plumes)! Plus it does seem, again - if my memory good enough, that storms do seem to be more frequent further north too (east anglia and up towards east anglia / Lincolnshire). Granted, Londons own urban heat island has an effect there of course I suspect
