    Don't hold much hope today, Hinckley under moderate snow according to the radar and nothing coming out the sky

    Radar really moving any precipitation westwards quiet quickly now. Been watching the heavy stuff south of Coventry and it's not moving quick and is dieing, anyone west or north of Hinckley hoping for some that I wouldn't carry out to much hope

    Watching the radar I have a feeling it will miss us just in Hinckley. As soon as that large heavy blob hits southern England it will start to pivot and move north west and fizzle out

    That's easy for people that have done ok in this easterly blast, I'm from down the road in Hinckley and we haven't had that much actually lying snow (7cm in December when everyone else had 15cm+.) I've lived here for 30 years and can only remember a few decent events when I was much younger.

    Sorry for the rant Starting to get seriously peeved off with how unlucky we are in Hinckley with snow compared to other areas! Very jealous of the streamer out of the wash. That would have been us 2 nights ago but hey ho. If I'm being really honest just want the cold and snow now to bugger off. I'd rather not live on radar watching and watch it systematically miss us nearly everytime. Rant over- think I feel a tiny bit better now lol

    Frustrating 2 days in Hinckley in relation to shower activity. 2 relatively decent showers only and no lying snow. Kinda hoped for something more. Think we won't get anymore really, might get some on Friday but won't amount to too much. Sorry to be a pessimist but as I write this I'm watching another shower miss us just to the north! lol

    Can you believe it the radar has shown a shower split in two and leave a gap and Leicester and Hinckley are in the gap! Did say I would give in to my optimism by 11am and i have! Lol #bigfreeze #whatsallthefussabout

    New day so new hope that the shower activity is better for all in the midlands. I wonder how long this lasts before it all goes quiet on the shower front? I predict 11am! Lol. Had a small dusting last night and current conditions in Hinckley are cloudy with snow blowing around in the wind.

    Looking at the radar and it's not looking great. Showers loose all intensity after they pass over Lincolnshire. It would take months of this to get any type of covering here just south west of Leicester. BBC and Met Office say showers will pep up and become stronger later but can't see it.

    Moderate snow in Hinckley for last few hours but it's not settling very well. Just a white mushy mess at the moment. Can't see us getting any huge accumulations if anything it's melting on the pavement now even though it's still snowing

    It's just been sleety rain in Hinckley no snow like everyone else I swear Hinckley has some kinda snow shield even Sundays event we got less snow that most areas only 5-10 miles away #wantsomemoresnow

    If I was being a pessimist I would say the snow rate in Hinckley is just dropping off a bit. Yet still a mile or 2 away it's still heavy according to the radar. Please come north!

    Snowing steadily in Hinckley, the green more heavier snow on the net weather radar has been about a mile south for 90 mins and hasn't moved up. Was steadily moving north before that. Does this mean the heavier snow has reached its northern limit?
