Going to need convincing this stuff to the north of Hinckley is going to come back south, it seems to be racing north westwards

Stopped in Hinckley now, had been steady drizzly snow but is down to a flurry now

Snow in Hinckley more finer now and starting to slow down a bit

Slowed down again in Hinckley maybe 2-3cms so far

I would finally say its heavy now in Hinckley, however it making good progress North and not showing a lot of signs of pivoting. If it carries on we will be out the other side of the thin band inside an hour

Slightly heavier in Hinckley now, would say its moderate now moving towards moderate/heavy

And its stopped! Lol

Just started to lightly snow in Hinckley

That thing is stalling and showing signs of pivoting short of Hinckley. It's shows it snowing here and its doing nothing. This is the start of the disappointment lol.

The main band is slowly closing in on Hinckley. Will get get here and maintain its intensity. Fingers crossed. If it goes to normal form it will stall just to the south west and pivot. Let's see

Just looking at the radar the band seems to have spilt about half way up (around Dublin) is this something we need to keep an eye on or is it expected?

Hope you are right, however history tells me we are always get the edge of something either to the North, East, West and South. Suppose its a now cast now

What does this mean for the track? Other than the obvious lol ha ha

Let's hope those areas that haven't had any actually get some snow tomororw and if anyone has to miss out it those that have had a lot more than anywhere else. Not naming any areas! Lol

Rain again in Hinckley, when it's snowing in many places in the Midlands! Some people around Stoke seem to get it all the time. Might move there! Lol

Maybe - I am prob just venting after seeing another event go tits up.

Note to one self - Ignore all other models predictions if you haven't got a nailed on Met Office warning in-advance. Really poor from some of the models about where the snow will go. I would now also reserve judgement for Saturdays "so called" snow chances. Rinse and Repeat me thinks Edit - Give up on Saturday - on to the next chase

For anyone saying "some people are calling this off too early again" its either snowing where you are right now or you are not watching the radars i am afraid.

Yeah can see some of the heading back this way, agree there is an additional problem of the temp and cold not undercutting it. Its about this time its expected to start to fade a bit so we will see what happens

Its like torture by a thousand needles watching the precipitation clear out to the east, we are actually dry now. Unless the radars are wrong i am not sure how it will snow here this afternoon as there wont be anything falling out the sky. 15 miles North East in Leicester its clinging on but surly they are going to be in the same situ as Hinckley shortly. Does anyone know if the direction is going to shift this afternoon or if that blob to the NW of the Midlands is forecast to actually track south not eastwards. I know i was told to wait until later but i am calling this as "off" for Hinckley, unless that stuff to the NW tracks properly

Hope your right but i have been burnt too many time to get any hope up. - The main concern is the precipitation is moving East rather than South/South East. According to the radar the we are now west of the precipitation and its moving away not towards us. The only hope is the stuff due north actually starts coming South and not East

All a bit of an anti climax again for us in Hinckley - Heard for a couple of days we where right in the mix etc etc. The reality is that its raining, the precipitation track/direction is doing the complete opposite of what it was forecast to do and moving rapidly eastwards. Whilst i knew it was going to go Pete Tong, its still annoying when it happens. Think if i am that desperate for snow i need to move! lol - As it seems to miss us to either the North, East, South and West
