Wow... looks like we could be heading into uncharted territory Mon-Wed. Iv been around for a few 34-35 degree days in Manc but the thought of 36+ . That sort of heat is bad enough abroad let alone in the UK.

First of many diversions from Man Airport I'd say, zero chance of anything landing here right now.

As many had predicted Franklin has been considerably worse than the 2 other named storms within the last week in this locale. Relentless since around midnight.

Violent gusts, id be amazed if no serious damage is occurring right now.

There has been a few strong gusts but nothing unusual here so far, however as many have said the NW as opposed to usual SW component seems to have done for this tree round the corner from me, as you can tell this quite an old tree so would have withstood some action over the years. Lucky no one was caught under it!

Defo gone up another notch over last 5 mins here.... the type of gusts where you just know anything not secured is going west... (or technically east in this case )

Well well well, what have we here? A week of glorious spring time fare here in sunny Sale, followed immediately by a direct Northerly shot with SNOW possible. You have got to love this islands climate. As my late grandma always used to say... "n'er cast a clout til May's out"
