  1. It was at the top of the pack but not necessarily an outlier. There still could be the chance of some warmer (and perhaps settled) weather for southern areas next week.
  2. I'd say the 12z GFS is pretty good this evening. Would be very warm in the SE if this was to verify. Interested to see where the OP sits in the ensembles.
  3. Good ECM this evening if you're looking for some warm / very warm weather. Even wafting up some warm 850s at the end.
  4. Caught some rotation from a heavy shower not too long ago. 11111.mp4
  5. Just had a storm pass overhead! Loads of loud thunder with a few flashes of lightning.
  6. I have finally finished editing my storm video from Tuesday. It's a very long video but I have put timestamps of the good lightning strikes in the description. If you can't be bothered to watch it, then I don't blame you! I shall run through what happened. At around 2 PM a storm developed near Thrapston and I could hear some thunder from it. It was your typical pulse storm so it died out real quick. Three hours later, a storm popped up near Wellingborough and was more active than the storm earlier. I could hear some frequent thunder but it died out on approach: Clusters of storms began to develop at the back of the aforementioned decaying storm. I couldn't see much lightning because of how far away they were but the thunder was just about audible. The storms were taking their time so I was left wondering if they were actually going to arrive. But just before 7 PM a massive CB shot up around five miles to my north and started producing lightning. My detector was being triggered every five seconds so I could tell it was a biggie. From then, the storm was producing soft rumbles and some lightning. Most of the lightning was intracloud but a few CGs were thrown into the mix too. I headed inside after all of this because the lightning was getting a bit too close. The rainfall in this storm was biblical.. probably the heaviest I have seen in the UK. Once the rain calmed down, the sun made an appearance behind the anvil, and created a nice glow to the storm. The rainbow (a faint double rainbow, to be precise) and the lightning was probably the best moment of the storm. And lastly, a few IC flashes from a storm that developed over Tring as the sun set. OOPS just realised how long this post is. I apologise for the picture spam
  7. It's not even over yet.. I can see some lovely IC flashes from that storm over Tring! One every 5-10 seconds.
  8. OMG one of those cumulonimbus clouds in Norfolk has a ridiculous overshooting top. Definitely a contender for a severe storm.
  9. A thunderstorm has developed to my NE. I can't see any lightning or hear any thunder though?!
  10. Not feeling too hopeful here unfortunately.. looks completely dead to my west. A different story to my east though - loads of towering cumulus with a big fat CB.
  11. Just heard distant thunder from a newly-developed storm to my north.
  12. I can already see some CBs to my NNE! I'm currently filming a timelapse of them so I may post it here later.
  13. It's looking good here tomorrow! I will make sure my camera is ready.
  14. I can see that storm in East Sussex from here.. it looks absolutely gorgeous. Saw an overshooting top too.
  15. Anyone in the Royston / Buntingford area? Pretty sure I just saw a small funnel.
