talk of a small trough on the ukmo fax chart forming in the flow for tomorrow morning early afternoon moving from west to east - could pep things up with the showers or even bring a "front" of snow through mid-south-Wales
Is this the trough Andy? It's looking quite good for the morning and afternoon, anything we get tonight will be a bonus.

Funny thing is last winter was not meant to be as cold a winter but was a million times better and here in the midlands it was the best winter since 2012 2013!!dozens of really good snow events aswell!!this winter has just been so bland its unbelievable!!
Agreed mate storm Emma produced the most snow I've ever seen in my lifetime and that windchill was just something else! Won't get snow like that again for a very long time. Even the slider low we had back last December gave us around 8 inches, it must have give you just under a foot in your neck of the woods?

Looks like it's gone pear shaped, can't say i'm surprised really though. We might see some snow monday night into Tuesday but what an absolute disaster of a winter this is turning out to be. I still haven't seen a single snowflake, the last time that happened was in winter 2006/07, even in the very mild winters of 2013/14 and 2015/16 I saw some snow!

The meto mentioned some snow for the hills in south wales for the morning as the front pushes through, just wondering how the snow charts are looking?

Are you referring to Beast 1 or 2? Beast 1 was like that but Beast 2 a slush fest by Sunday (it only started Friday). this was the mid march one
Beast 1 and 2 both produced dry powdry snow. This one was taken on the 18th of March, I can't see any wet slush in that photo a nice sand like snow dune you can see though which shows just how dry the snow was .
