  2. So basically the GS is pushing further north & slowly weakening. From a Cold Lover's point of view that's both good and bad news B)

  9. Yooouuuu betcha !! They're fattening up nicely now. I've got 4 big uns put aside for the freezer. Extra rations for them !!
  10. I need to make a decision soon. I've got 5 guys on standby to do an outside flooring job in Manchester (Trafford Centre) on sunday, the floor treatment has to go down on a DRY floor. Can't see it happening at the moment. Any help/advice welcome. Should I call it off now ??
  11. Well it's been 2 days now and still no word from Pakistan about them setting up a "Quake Appeal" for the devastated people of Lincolnshire. Next time they have one, they can b*gger off, they'll not get a penny from me !!
  12. My 1st thought also !! We've had few "happenings" of late (house built in 1642) I thought our "Old Man" (as my daughters call him/it) had decided to give my bed a shake again. My dog was unusually bouncy also last night, she wouldn't settle at all.
  13. I blame the Government !! We never had these when Thatcher was in charge .....
  14. No, looks like a Tawny to me. Great Owl's a lot larger. Well done rabbit, 3rd shot's a belter.
  15. pm me about Stills if you need one, I err.......have experience of several types in the Middle East (Had to leave Saudi rather quicker than I anticipated)
  16. So how did the various brews go ?? Anyone gone blind ? :o My Hedgerow gin concoction of damson, sloe, elderberry & blackberry was a belter. Couldn't talk for several days !! Anything you'd try differently next autumn ?? Do tell....
  17. Try emailing this lot, they're usually very helpful. http://www.nilu.no/niluweb/services/zeppelin/ Click on Current View, plenty of daylight now !!
  18. Saw plenty this weekend, all confined to Damson/Plum trees. Maybe a good early crop on the cards, I can get the Gin going early then
  19. Took the scenic route home from an early morning meeting in Hampshire & went over Watership Down - stunning !! Also noticed a few trees in early blossom, probably Blackthorn looking at the shape.
  20. Too many herons seem to be staking out the orchard pond here. Anything that moves gets gobbled up pretty sharpish. 3 there today.
  21. http://www.nilu.no/niluweb/services/zeppelin/ If you're quick (it's midday now), there's some daylight in Svalbard !!
  22. There was still an understandable bot of "fence-sitting" on the Beebs 10:30 Wx programme. Good to see the "Early Warnings" being flashed up though !!
