    Am I right in thinking the further south the 0C isotherm is, the further south the snow will be instead of rain / sleet ?

    I think some are overreacting in here, we won’t really know how far north the system is for a while yet we’re just all second guessing including the MET. No model agrees with the other and it was only this morning things looked amazing for our region. Let’s wait until the 12zs roll then we’ll get a firmer grip on things, but still won’t know for sure.

    Carol on breakfast TV just showed some snow for the south of the region including my location later on this afternoon. 3PM onwards

    These things usually correct South based on past experience so I’m not worried yet.

    I was thinking the exact same regarding how far north the warning extends, even if it does correct south a bit that could be even better for marginality .

    This is a good thing though, if it does right? Corrections South must mean areas further south stay colder and more potential for snow ?

    ECM trending very mild this morning, not what we wanted to see if you’re searching for white gold. White gold potential has shifted north for the south it’s looking more like a chilly rain event, aside from @Kentspur little blue pixel. I’m hoping GEM is onto something as this is the model of the morning if you want white gold and it’s a cold run throughout, perhaps it’s noticed something the others are missing?

    Interesting to see those 850s as low as that all the way down in Cornwall. Although Cornwall does warm up later on in the week as you said those further north best off. Brief warm up potentially next weekend for the south/south west/Cornwall but staying colder further north HOPEFULLY before the cold spreads south again.

    Nothing falling here in runcorn as yet but radar looks hopeful. Looks to be pepping up a bit too

    Nothing by the promenade in old town, I find it so depressing that it snows all around me but old town it never snows

    That shower is extremely slow moving. Is it going to start heading more south and less east due to the offshore winds kicking in?
