    Same for me mate! Can’t believe this lol however I stayed awake and saw constant flickering out west from the main area of storms as I’m in south London. Had some heavy rain for just under an hour and one massive lightning strike above me producing some booming thunder but I saw nothing of what other people saw

    What is this madness? It’s powered right through the heart of Britain unleashing torrents of rain, strong winds and constant lightning! This is surely a night to remember, not for London though because I hardly got anything compared to people further west! Although there was a lot of lightning flickering towards reading which I could see which was cool. Let the great UK chickenpox outbreak continue!

    I only got a taster, that’s London done. Had a couple of big booms which made me jump and a good 45 mins of heavy rain. Lots of flickering out west but couldn’t see far enough out the window. Bit disappointing, thought it would spread out more as it came closer but unfortunately it didn’t. You guys out west sound like your having a cracking time! (Get it?) saw some amazing lightning on the Portsmouth warrior cam too so at least I knew how intense these beasts were!

    Yep, I believe more cells are going to start popping off soon more favourable for london

    Weather models are showing expansion and more cells firing up to the east of the main activity across Portsmouth at the moment so central London I should think in a couple of hours

    70strikes a minute for those northern France cells! They are potent little beasts. Some more lightning scattering further around them as well

    Same here, those latest models showing the storms further east are looking promising! In my experience the past few storm events have always headed further east than expected so I’m hoping for that to happen tonight so us Londoners can get to see some action!

    I’m praying that storms form further east of the warning zone because despite their being lots of Kent clippers so far this summer, here in London there has barely been any thunder, zero lightning as well so I would like to see something big to make up for it. only storms I saw was when I was on holiday in Greece a few weeks ago but still they weren’t intense enough where I was in terms of lightning!

    We should turn to this eh? I know it’s 6 days away but just look at what could happen after all that heat and humidity builds, big explosions potentially!
