    Is it a kind of rain/snow shadow from the south downs? I seem to remember something similar happened a few years ago.

    This happens because a tiny bit of the New Forest in Hampshire is in scope. Meto then lumps their warnings in to categories such as 'London and SE England' which includes Hampshire!

    It doesn't look like UKMO is going to follow the 6z GFS pattern unfortunately. In fact at day 6 it's pretty horrendous!
