26.1°C in the lounge. The highest here is only 26.2°C in 4 years, which should be exceeded tonight.

I'm going to New Orleans next summer - if a Hurricane should occur, I'll just do the most prepared and responsible thing I can, and hope for the best.

I get excited by heat, cold, thunderstorms, tornadoes, you name it. Doesn't mean I want to see people suffer and die. And I encourage anyone to take proper precautions if any such weather is to occur. If anyone has a problem with that on a weather enthusiast forum, bloody sue me.

Last night I went to bed wearing a damp t-shirt, made it feel much cooler so there was no trouble sleeping. Simple things like that make loadsa difference.
-
Only to certain job roles and for tomorrow only. I think the management team have to go in, haha, I mean sadly for them.
-
I received a text message saying work's off tomorrow due to extreme heat! So gutted. I was really looking forward to doing spreadsheets.
-
24.4°C, 58% humidity in the lounge. Not bad...yet.
-
Walked about a bit in the 35 degree temps - very hot and a kind of burning smell. The funny looking cat on Crescent road was out in the garden today, not seen him for a while.
-
Only up to a "mere" 22.7°C in the lounge so far today, but that might be shooting up if these forecast temps come off.
-
I'm allowed to wear casual clothing, mercifully!
-
Working in a Non-AC office full of computers, printers etc... on tuesday, that will be hell LMAO. Oh well, just will drink plenty of cold drinks!
-
The cloud here seems to be building in the same area and backbuilding Infront of the sun... Most peculiar. Almost like it is intentionally doing it to annoy.
-
Here in Sheffield it's reached a max of 27.9°C due to the only big patch of high cloud sitting right on the sun all afternoon. A pleasant warm day but not a heatwave yet. If similar happens tomorrow I'd expect highs around 32-33.

Sunday 17th July weather observations
Met. replied to Summer Sun's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
14:04 27.8°C with gusty winds in Sheffield, and mostly cloudy with thick high level cirrus. This is the top temp so far, today. -
Sitting outside now... feels lovely, not hot at all, a cooling breeze and the wafts of a delicious barbecue floating about. My outdoor thermometer is reading just under 28 degrees but it feels cooler than that.
-
Down to 21.2°C last night and that was in the lounge, the bedroom was a tad below 20°C, so very comfortable and refreshing.

The no AC Club(people who don’t have any)
Met. replied to Sunny76's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
I have no AC at home or at work. It's no issue for me as my apartment is NW facing and doesn't get any sun, while the temps at work are a bit higher, it's not too hot ever to concentrate really, due to the cool summers we generally have. A couple of hot days this week won't be the most comfortable, but it's only two days. -
Good news is there is a lot more cloud around than expected here, quite gloomy in fact, so feeling a lot cooler than I feared.
-
Cool enough to-day for a nice run, certainly won't be doing that on Mon/Tue though!
-
Well, 24 degrees here, so not too warm. In fact, a lovely day for a run, had a pretty good average speed factoring in the hills, too.
-
Yesterday's cool and cloudy weather gave me an excellent chance to air out the apartment - down to 20.1°C in the lounge and a tad below 20°C in the bedroom, so a good night's sleep before temps are on the rise.
-
Admittedly I though it looked like a lot of BS at that time as well, oh well hopefully there'll be more cloud or a thunderstorm will form in the afternoon then.
-
Still there's 72 hours for that to progressively change so we'll see.
-
Good news is the cold front is trending eastwards quite a bit with every run so Tuesday could be cooler for when I'm in the office that day. Good. See I am a heat hater, at least when it comes to 30+°C. A pretty pointless temperature.
