    I'm in Margate at the moment with its famous ever present howling sea winds. Coat and hat needed for me whereas the same temps in Sheffield feel much warmer.

    I'm travelling on a train to the SE today and it's very rainy down here, after leaving a sunny Sheffield.

    It was interesting from a statistical point of view with that bizarre though shortlived heatwave in July. Lacking on the convection side though early September made up for it a bit.

    It went down to 19.6°C in the lounge today.

    I remember a crap week in early June and a very convective interesting July and August was OK but a bit rainy.

    Another storm that was approaching gone DOA. Very disappointed. What is killing them off here? They've been in every direction but here. Grrrrr

    The sound of your balls rolling along was probably similar to thunder.

    Nothing but a DOA blunderstorm here with no lightning and drizzle. At least we had it yesterday.

    Lightning dead as a doornail on the bit approaching Sheffield.

    The thunderstorm was pretty good in my area of south Sheffield. I watched it come in as well from the first flashes to the first creepy rumbles then the loud thunder as it passed overhead.

    When you have one shower a month you don't waste water. But you do have a terrible case of BO.

    Spiders might be getting a bit much in my apartment now so time to think about a bit dusting... maybe.

    23.0°C and 61% humidity now in my lounge.

    The warm weather along with having windows open, has certainly allowed a lot of spiders to get in. Not a big deal generally (they deal with insects) but I've found myself walking into cobwebs in various rooms, which seem to have been built in seconds flat. Usually I can't see it and then I walk into it, yuck. Loads of massive cobwebs outside too!

    Wait... we have the same birthday? August 31st always seems to be notably cold where I live. I think the only warm one I remember was in Spain!

    It's now 25.3°C in the lounge but a sweltering 28.6°C in the kitchen after cooking dinner.

    Up to 25 inside. This is making me fall asleep all the time.

    It's notably cooler than this time yesterday, with a stronger NE'ly breeze. Hopefully it will only reach 28 or so.

    23.7°C in my lounge. This temperature and higher makes me start to feel sleepy.

    29°C with very low humidity and a cooling breeze in Sheffield. Great conditions for summer and not remotely uncomfortable thankfully.

    Sunny high pressure in August. Never thought I'd see the day. Very palatable conditions with comfortable daytime temps and cool nights.

    I'm not the sort of person to worry, but I won't be too pleased if it's a cold winter with these ridiculous prices, and will nonetheless use as little heating as possible.
