Was so ready for a good long sleep tonight but the fact the showers look so heavy, and the way it’s turning eastwards is definitely interesting me here in south london. Could be the perfect angle off the estuary soon. Showers seem stronger intensity today for sure, for whatever reason

Nice of it all to break up just as it reaches SE London aha

Looks like I’m just the slightest bit too NW for this one

Means everything has suddenly switched and we are in for a pasting in south london

We can dream On a serious note it does look like it’s going a little more NE wind so I reckon it’ll be better when we wake up

Very orange sky to my south, weird. Must be some snow falling at higher levels and not getting down or what?

Is the streamer likely to shift south at all? It looks like its fizzling out to me .Was a great day out there today not a massive amount of snow but just great being out in it
Wind turns more NE through the night, I think that should push it down to us

Need the wind to swing a little more NE to get this down to me frustratingly just south of it

Good to see palace fans in here

Still not much in Bromley, I like the look of that potential streamer even if it’s too far north for me right now. Gives some hope that things can happen..

I think that fax chart with the best estuary convergence line was at 6am tomorrow. 10 hours is a long time... let’s see what happens. Light/moderate stuff here in Bromley and the wind has really picked up. Maybe this is the precursor to a streamer??

Thames streamer setting up maybe looking at the radar .
Was going to say I quite like the improvement in convection happening at the moment... I don’t think that’s clutching too many straws is it...

I know.. just not kicking in. Appears to be losing its omph as what little convection fades away with the sun..
same thing happened yesterday evening and better set up so guess we just need patience. The FAX charts are onto it

And the last for us maybe!!! Make the most of it haha.
Talking of which - anyone got an idea on where's tonight's showers are likely to be?! Any decent charts? I've a general feeling that the shower activity is on the decline now but would like to be proven wrong !!
Daniel did a good post about the FAX charts for tonight and tomorrow. Looks like most showers will be around thames estuary as they were this morning, then as winds shift NE then Kent has best chance tomorrow. That’s my understanding but who knows

Pretty moderate snow here, heavier than it has been since the morning

This made me laugh, so refreshing when you see there are others nearby refreshin the radar every 5 mins - to your point nothin in Orpington - some say the winds might back a smidge more north east soon
Yeah I really should stop checking it Its definitely getting darker here, let’s hope
-
I reckon there’s a little glitch on NW radar. That little very light stretch from Orpington to gravesend hasn’t moved despite heavier stuff round it. I’ll see if I’m right in a bit if heavier stuff gets to me soon. Certainly become darker...

Definitely darker clouds to my north, but not to my east. Frustrating I sit just outside that moderate band. Need wind to swing even more ENE soon

There's a Thames streamer now, but it going WNW rather than wsw due to wind direction, so get Essex and north London. Should come back south later.
Yep sorry I think I was accidentally getting a bit IMBYish

BBC graphics going for a Thames streamer tonight, and more showers into Kent on Wednesday. This underdoes the potential so in these areas I would have some hope

I know it’s the MO app, but it does look like turning from ESE back to ENE later tonight. Maybe more convection and the chance of more snow for us in South London where it’s stopped

Thawing a tiny bit in Bromley, just light small flakes now. Fingers crossed to get in on some action tonight but I’m not sure

Heavy again in Bromley. Do we think it’s dying out on the southern edge? Quite hard to tell

Definitely the most impressive spell of snow so far here in Bromley. Put in about a cm in the last hour. Estuary isn’t calming down yet either

Do people reckon they could be that heavy even when wind switches to more easterly?
