  1. Looks like it should make London, I’ll consider this an achievement if the grass looks whiter than the frost does . I didn’t get that much from BFTE, not in one go anyway. This could be my biggest accumulation for some time in Bromley, if all goes well
  2. Well I never, for even more fun, the accuweather website is telling me I’ll get 11.4cm in South London
  3. I think there’s a sense of “what can go wrong will go wrong” for me in SE. London here, although I’m reassured by posts in here. I’ll just put the cricket on and be jealous of the hot sun instead!
  4. well that bbc forecast you say there is very very pessimistic for our region. Says the band looks to be slowing already
  5. Well I joked yesterday about how stupid an upgrade on my app was, now I’ve got a more realistic upgrade, looking at that UKV further up which has really taken me by surprise. Fingers crossed on a selfish note
  6. Sudden upgrade on MetO app!! Gives me snow from 10am- Monday 1am Just the 12 hour increase on what was showing an hour ago... Pretty funny
  7. It’s quite incredible that most other times we are crying out for a northern correction, now we have one, it’s gone too far the wrong way (for us south of the Thames at least)
  8. Marco also says London will “likely see snow falling, at least in the middle of the day”. I was worried about the eastwards progression earlier, now it’s just how far north it pivots, so that’s at least one box ticked
  9. Latest BBC update really goes for a stall in the midlands it seems, we do get some in London/Kent but briefly in the morning, and briefly as it sinks away SE
  10. A thank you to everyone in here making sense of it all, hopefully ECM 12z is close to the mark, don’t want it going too far north... Surely London can’t go from too north to too south in the space of a few hours
  11. Steve Murr says on twitter that the ECM is decent for us, 4-5cm in NW Kent. Soon time to just watch the radar
  12. Agonising miss in Bromley, BBC London and South East forecast still looked encouraging, if out of date, all to play for...
  13. I think the global models will be overdoing the northern extent, but it might mean the hi-res are underestimating it. What is more up for grabs for us is how East it gets, I’d take that Harmonie at the moment
  14. For what it’s worth (which is very little), snow has been massively upgraded for me in Bromley on MetO app, now showing pretty much all day. I know it will change but that’s the most sure it’s been at anytime in this
  15. Was just about to say the same thing, looks like the pivot is in a favourable position for someone like me in SE London, who might miss out if some models are to be believed
  16. Matt Taylor on the BBC just there stressed caution over the placement of snow on Sunday, but seemed pretty bullish about chances of a few cm at least somewhere
  17. Back to snizzle in Bromley, I’m going to get anything settling I’ll need that heavy stuff over Guildford area to keep hold of itself
  18. Some bigger flakes starting to appear as the front really sets in, I’ll need them if it’s going to settle much
  19. No denying it’s snow now in Bromley, don’t worry just south of the river. It’s really blowing around but it’s trying hard to settle on wind-facing surfaces IMG_3226.MOV
  20. Does seem like mainly snow in Bromley, not big enough flakes to settle though. Was worth getting up for the cricket anyway...
  21. Heavy fine stuff really blowing around here, can’t tell if it’s sleet or snow, definitely flakes in it though
