    Update from MOD thread, ECM is looking good eventually bringing easterlies down to our region. Run isn’t over yet but at that relatively short timeframe I’d say that’s been the best model convergence so far, even if they take slightly different routes to get there

    They certainly don’t look terrible at all, the chance is still there for a freeze up down here and it only takes slight shifts in positioning to make or break. Granted I’d feel safer in Durham than London for this, but it’s certainly not terrible, models are still working it out

    Incredible GFS tonight, I’m very nervous about heading back into the MOD thread for the 0zs when they inevitably downgrade. It can’t get better than that 18z

    12z UKMO was a slight downgrade on what it was showing this morning, but that’s expected, it’s just gone from 10/10 to 8/10 so if that turned up this morning instead, we’d be bouncing off the walls

    Word from MOD thread that 6z is a bit of a synoptic difference to its mean, which is better for us. So it’s all to play for, I just expect things to move around for a few days. When it’s based on the position of a low, we see how at such short notice those can change anyway

    GFS 6z is not as good for our snow potential in the South. MOD thread is going to be tense today

    That will be based on ECM, very unsupported at this point. MetO long ranger and many other models won’t agree with that

    In South East London I’m pinning my hopes on something out of East Essex, something pumped in from the North Sea etc. I won’t be in that big area but still think we could get lucky somehow
