    True, saturday could be ok round here ?, will just have to watch the forecast closer to the day? Tent technology has moved on from 'top sheet' lol i think that used to be to keep the rain off the inner tent if memory serves from my youth?

    Cooling down a bit now but still a pleasant evening on the Wolds, could be a warm one tomorrow but reading through the forums on here the weekend could be a bit meh, and i am camping on saturday night

    A still, sunny, mild evening on the Wolds, although pleasant sat outside this evening the garden could do with a drink, my sunflower is nearly as thirsty as me!

    It does seem the weather can bring the worst out in some of us ?, which is in its self weird when u think about it ! it is just personal preference at the end of the day take it easy pal and enjoy your week

    Tbf @Azazel i do tend to fire off the hip so to speak, no harm is ever meant or intended, i can be blunt admittedly but it is meant in jest, i agree that when the weekends at this time of year are crap it is frustrating, for that we can agree!

    It was the 'WINTER' coat that made me chortle, the over dramatisation! perhaps it could of been worded better? 'Tad chilly this evening so popped a coat on' perfectly understandable! But it is the moans thread and people are entitled to their own views even if i find them a bit OTT, maybe my sense of humour is misplaced or wrongly interpreted and therefore i should refrain

    Got it to watch on catch up! I was born in July 76 and my Mother likes to remind me often , carrying a 10lb 2oz baby (as i turned out) about that summer was no fun!

    it is a local terminology, as in somebody who lives on the Yorkshire Wolds and is why we are often called a 'Wold Topper' hence why i chose it as my NW name when i joined NW, not that i should need to explain myself to a dweeb like you, smart Ar#s ,

    A day of 2 halves, bright warm sunshine this morning, replaced with grey clag this afternoon, had a family bbq at teatime that was interrupted with a few spots of rain, nowt drastic and not overly cold but took the edge off the evening!
