  1. Same here, horrible driving back from Tenterden just after mid day. Saw a rainbow shortly after the sun came out.
  2. One was issued near the beginning of last November for SE England. There were only about 10 strikes in the warning area if I am right, one was close to me at Pagham over 3/4 hour before the warning became valid.
  3. In November 2015 when I was living in Pagham, I mowed the lawns quite late in the month as it was so mild. The strong SW wind was helpful in drying the exposed front lawn whenever we had any period of dry weather.
  4. For no.9, I think you meant the year 1877. 1887 was a very dry year.
  5. 1872 indeed was the wettest year in the EWP series. I hope we don't experience year like that in my lifetime - every month wetter than average and a year so dominated by low pressure with so few anticyclonic days according to Lambs Weather Types. People must have got really fed up with the rain.
  6. Thunder heard 3.55 then very heavy rain and wind, but has now eased considerably.
  7. Even if the worst of the weather is over by the time you travel, you may well be hindered by fallen debris such as trees been blown down.
  8. Looks like I will stay inside on Thursday as well - nothing planned anyway. There are plenty of trees round here in full leaf.
  9. Odd flashes of lightning seen, but torrential rain has eased.
  10. Very odd spots of rain here. I have just finished mowing my back lawn, possibly for the last time this year.
